The point is that these new cars have said that they will impact the high-end market, and even challenge the status of Toyota Alpha, which feels like a lot of money. Whether it is the internal news of the manufacturer or the industry forecast, the price of these MPVs will start at least 300,000, and some even go to the level of 400,000.
You know, the Honda Odyssey, which is recognized as the benchmark for household MPV, has a top match of 350,000, and the cheapest 230,000 can be bought. Previously, Trumpchi M8 has been known as the ceiling of its own brand MPV, but I did not expect that this batch of high-end MPV was directly on an equal footing with the Buick GL8, a business benchmark.
Just when everyone was still questioning whether there was a market for this price, Lantu became the first person to eat crabs, and the dreamer launched became the first high-end MPV of a Chinese brand.
The new car is divided into medium and high version and 4-seat customized version, and the medium and high configuration adopts a 7-seat layout of 2+2+3, providing pure electricity and extended range two power forms. The pre-sale price of the middle match is 380,000, the high match is 480,000, and the 4-seat customized version is 600,000.
Although the price refreshed many people's cognition, the dreamer was booked 3,000 units in 2 days, which shows its popularity. So what are the highlights of this car?
Skip the level size focus on safety
Dreamer is positioned as an MPV for business and household use, with a body circumference of 5315*1985*1820mm and a wheelbase of 3200mm. This size is a circle larger than the Buick GL8 and Toyota Alpha, and the official even labeled it a "mobile parlor".
At this level of MPV, after full seats, the suitcase often can't hold the belongings of 7 people. In addition to the large size of the Dreamer, it can bring better riding space, and the trunk volume has reached 427L, thereby reducing storage pressure.
Looking at the Dreamer from the side, its front end is longer than the traditional MPV, which is to free up more energy absorption collapse space in frontal collisions and focus on improving safety.
Chassis Advanced High configuration
Since it is a high-end product, only space and safety are obviously not enough. The Dreamer chassis features a front double wishbone rear multi-link suspension, which is rare in MPV, and can also be equipped with CDC soft and hard adjustable air suspension.
Its comfort performance has been dubbed the "magic carpet", and the adaptive chassis lifting mode can also reduce the height of the body, making it easy for passengers to get on and off the bus.

High power +4 drive system
The Dreamer Pure Electric Edition adopts a dual-motor four-wheel drive structure of 160kW front and rear, with a total power of 435Ps, a torque of 620N·m, and an acceleration time of only 5.9s. If the ultra-long battery pack with a capacity of 108.7kWh is selected, its CLTC will have a range of 605km.
The extended range version is equipped with a self-developed 1.5T four-cylinder range extender with a thermal efficiency of more than 40%, using a dual-motor four-wheel drive structure of front 130kW + rear 160kW, with a total power of 394Ps, a torque of 610N·m, an acceleration time of 6.9s, and a pure electric driving range of 82km.
The Dreamer is the only MPV in its class that uses a four-drive force form + air suspension, which can be more relaxed when dealing with snow and non-paved roads, and has put a lot of effort into space, configuration, and NVH. In this way, its pricing is completely reasonable and even more cost-effective than GL8.

Denza's new MPV
The first to be released is the Denza D9, priced at or from 450,000, and the design and service team will be managed by Denza itself.

The new car will use BYD's blade battery, with a comprehensive cruising range of 1,000km, and four driving modes: economy, normal, sports, and snow.
Hongqi brand new MPV
Hongqi's new MPV has been exposed at the end of last year, and I believe it is not far from the official debut of the new car.
Judging from the current spy photos, the appearance of the new car continues the iconic design of the Hongqi family, the larger alpine waterfall type net is domineering, and the headlights are still split-type shapes.
The lines on the side of the body are relatively flat, the side sliding door tracks are more beautiful hidden design, and the wheel hub is matched with a two-color five-spoke petal style.
The interior layout is more traditional, with electronic gear rods placed higher to free up more space in the central armrest box. The second row of side windows has sun blinds and the seats are integrated aviation seats without armrests and leg rests.

Wei brand new MPV: M81 and M83
Weipai's future products will plan two MPV models, the internal code name M81 and M83, respectively, positioning medium and large MPV and large MPV, will focus on the domestic and business markets respectively.
The new car was originally unveiled in April, but unfortunately due to the postponement of the Beijing Auto Show, it will take a while to meet you.
The test car for the spy photo is a case of a Wei brand VV7, but the appearance may follow the design of the previously released Intelligent Drive concept car. Combined with the current news, the length of the large MPV M83 may reach 5.4 meters, and the wheelbase is more than 3 meters.
Intelligent Drive concept car
The interior adopts a new design concept, the steering wheel is a double-frame design, the car is equipped with a coffee intelligent system, and there is a screen under the air outlet of the middle air conditioner to control the functions of the car. The electronic gear lever is small in size and frees up more storage space underneath.
In the power part, both cars use the brand's DHT hybrid assembly. Here you can refer to the Weipai Mocha DHT using a 1.5T engine + 2-speed DHT gearbox, coupled with the front and rear dual motors to form a plug-in hybrid system.
The system has a combined power of 355 kW, a torque of 762 N·m, a battery capacity of 39.69 kWh, and a pure electric cruising range of 204 km. In the future, Wei brand cars will take the plug-in hybrid route with long endurance.
New Krypton MPV: EF1E
Since it is extreme krypton, the MPV, which is code-named EF1E internally, is of course also based on the SEA Haohan architecture. According to the naming convention of extreme krypton, this MPV is expected to be named extreme kr ZEEKR 002.
In the Krypton 001, we see 800V high voltage system, high performance / high integrated computing power, support for vehicle FOTA upgrades, fully autonomous driving level and other highlights, I believe that these technologies of the platform can also benefit EF1E.
The EF1E is expected to exceed 5.1 meters in body size and a wheelbase of between 3.1-3.3 meters, or a 6-seat layout of 2+2+2.
The design of the new car continues the concept of extreme Krypton style, such as the iconic split headlights and fully enclosed grille. However, the front of the MPV model is higher, which will make the effect of EF1E different from the 001, which can refer to the difference between the Lynk & Co SUV and the sedan, and I believe that the front face shape of the new car will be more coordinated than the 001.
The overall atmosphere of the interior is similar to that of the 001, the central control screen is 15.4 inches, and the LCD instrument is 8.8 inches, which is full of technology. The second row uses independent aviation-grade seats, which can be adjusted front and rear, left and right, and the third row of seats still maintains a wide and thick fit, and the gap between the front and back is not large.
In terms of power, there is no specific information at present, but its NEDC cruising range can exceed 700km, don't forget that this is an MPV.
Ideal first MPV
The L9, a large SUV that ideally hits the high end, has just been released, and the brand's first MPV has been exposed one after another.
The new car adopts a family-style design, the U-shaped headlights on the front face are very recognizable, the side waistline is highly consistent with the ideal SUV, and the rear is still a through-tail and rounded shape with lights.

Is there a market for 400,000 MPV?
When it comes to high-end MPV, everyone will think of Lexus LM, Toyota Alpha, Buick GL8 Avenir Evia, etc. This market has been occupied by foreign brands.
However, through the inventory just now, we can see that the new MPV launched by the independent brand is actually not bad in terms of product strength, and the design, space, configuration, and power system have their own highlights.
With the increase in per capita income, the proportion of middle-class households, the growth of high-end consumer families will be further opened, coupled with the opening of the three-child policy, people do have a lot of demand for large-space high-quality MPV.
In the first half of last year, domestic MPV sales increased by 30% year-on-year, higher than the 29.8% increase in the entire passenger car market, of which MPV sales of more than 200,000 accounted for 44.16%.
Obviously, there are still few optional MPV on the market, especially in the price range of 300,000-400,000, which leaves a lot of room for independent brands to play. That's why, this year, those independent brands that have spare energy have launched new MPV.
