According to the data, in the first quarter of this year, a total of two joint venture A-class vehicles sold more than 100,000 vehicles, namely Nissan Xuanyi and Volkswagen Langyi, whose sales were 116435 and 103601 vehicles, ranking first and second. Among them, Xuanyi's sales volume fell by 6.6% year-on-year, and Langyi's sales increased by 7.1% year-on-year.
Toyota Corolla has sold 60,462 vehicles, and although it still ranks third, sales have decreased by 36.3% year-on-year. The sales volume of its brother leiling model was also not as good as the same period last year, with cumulative sales of 49,698 units in the first quarter, ranking sixth, down 20.5% year-on-year.
Volkswagen Sagittarius and Bora also fell very largely, of which Sagitar sold 56,165 vehicles, ranking fourth, down 36.5% year-on-year; Bora sales of 50,056 vehicles, ranking fifth, down 44.3% year-on-year. Volkswagen Santana sales also fell, with cumulative sales of 24,398 vehicles in the first quarter, down 19.3% year-on-year.
The bigger decline is Buick Yinglang, which sold only 29,197 vehicles from January to March this year, ranking ninth, down 67.9% year-on-year, and sales decreased by 61,838 vehicles.
Of course, there are also some models that increased their sales by a large margin compared with the same period last year, including the Honda Civic, which sold 43,251 vehicles in the first quarter, ranking seventh, an increase of 31.9% year-on-year, and sales increased by 10,458 vehicles. As a sister model of the Civic, the Honda model sold 21,097 vehicles in the first quarter, ranking fourteenth.
Chevrolet Cruze also sold 35,367 units, up 283.5% year-on-year, and sales increased by 26,145 units.
Mazda-3 Axela, Buick Veyron and Audi A3 all sold more than 20,000 units, with 24,286 units, 23,580 units and 21,736 units respectively, all higher than sales in the same period last year. Among them, with the launch of the Veyron Pro model, Buick Veyron sales soared by 591.9% year-on-year, and sales increased by 20172 units.
Volkswagen Golf and Volkswagen Lingdu sales also maintained growth, of which the cumulative sales of golf were 19,523 vehicles, an increase of 39.5% year-on-year; the sales of Lingdu were 16,946 vehicles, an increase of 71.0% year-on-year.
