Among them are BYD, Ford, General Motors, Jaguar Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and other companies. BYD is the only Chinese car company signatory. At the same time, BYD has also become the fastest to fulfill its promises.
In addition to the heavy news of the suspension of fuel vehicles, BYD also announced its sales results in March. It is reported that BYD sold more than 100,000 vehicles in March, and the sales volume of BYD Han alone exceeded 12,359 vehicles, an increase of 33% month-on-month. Among them, Han EV bicycle sales exceeded 10,000 units, reaching 10,178 units; Han DM sales increased by 524.9% month-on-month. As of March 2022, the cumulative sales volume of the BYDHan family has exceeded 190,000 units, ranking the top 1 of medium and large sedans of Chinese brands. BYD can be said to be the leader of new energy.
At present, achieving carbon peaking and carbon neutrality is already a global consensus, and emission standards are also being tightened globally. BYD is also actively following up on the country's "double carbon" strategic goal to promote the green and low-carbon development of the automotive industry. BYD's super hybrid models, both in terms of performance and fuel consumption, have fully surpassed fuel vehicles. Among them, the 100 km acceleration of Han DM-p models can reach an astonishing 3.7s, while the pure electric endurance of Han DM-p models can reach 242KM, the fuel consumption of loss power is 4.2L/100KM, and the comprehensive endurance is 1300KM. Commuting in the urban area is completely pure electricity to save money, and the fuel consumption is lower than that of traditional fuel vehicles even if the holidays return to the hometown and self-driving tours are driven at a loss of electricity. In this way, for most consumers, after having DM-i/DM-p models, there is no point in buying traditional fuel vehicles.
Due to the basic production of PHEV and fuel vehicles, from the perspective of development, the production of fuel vehicles is now stopped, not only without commercial losses, but also to transfer production capacity to new energy models. Allowing DM-i models to be delivered to consumers faster is clearly a win-win situation. From the perspective of the brand, it can be fully upgraded from a brand in the era of fuel vehicles to a completely pure new energy vehicle company, and from the perspective of brand image, it will become more vigorous.
New energy vehicles are the biggest gripper of our national automobile industry overtaking in curves, and it is precisely because BYD has the determination to break through the boat that we have the opportunity to catch up with or even surpass the automobile industry in Germany, Japan and the United States. Whoever does not want to change will be eliminated by the times. Other traditional fuel vehicle manufacturers also understand this truth, but most of them are reluctant to the existing fuel vehicle market.
