Recently, BYD officially released the latest sales data, official data show that BYD passenger cars in April sold 105475 vehicles, an increase of 136.5%. Among them, the sales volume of new energy vehicles was 106,000 units, an increase of 313.22% over 25,700 units in the same period last year.
Since March, BYD has sold more than 100,000 vehicles in a single month for two consecutive months. At the same time, BYD's cumulative sales from January to April reached 392,400 units, an increase of 387.94% year-on-year. BYD's DM plug-in hybrid and EV pure electric models went hand in hand, with a total of 48,072 DM models and 57,403 EV models sold in April.
In terms of specific models, the BYD Han family sold 13,421 vehicles in April, of which the Han EV series sold 10,225 units, an increase of 77.9% year-on-year, and the Han DM series sold 3,196 units. As of April 2022, the cumulative sales of the BYDHan family have exceeded 200,000 units, becoming the first 200,000-class flagship sedan in the domestic model to sell more than 200,000 units.
The Tang family sold 10,131 vehicles in April, and the sales of Tang EV models increased by 263.7% year-on-year; the Song family sold 25,108 vehicles in April, and the Song DM series increased by 1299.5% year-on-year; the Qin family sold 23,510 vehicles in April, with cumulative sales exceeding 600,000 vehicles, and the cumulative orders for Qin PLUS DM-i and Qin PLUS EV models were more; the Yuan family sold 15,168 vehicles in April, an increase of 659.5% year-on-year.
Among the Marine Network series models, the destroyer sold 2,040 units in 054, an increase of 38.3% month-on-month; Dolphin sold 12,040 units in April, an increase of 14.7% month-on-month.
Under the background of repeated epidemics and scarcity of raw materials, BYD's deep layout in the fields of power batteries and semiconductors has effectively alleviated the pressure from the supply chain level. With the start of production of new plants and new production lines, BYD's deliveries will be smoother, and reaching a conservative sales forecast of 1.5 million units in 2022 is not a problem.
