Liu Qingshi, whose real name is Liu Yingchang, is a retired Japanese teacher at Beijing No. 2 Foreign Chinese School. Born in 1923, a Taiwanese Keelung, a small landlord's family, because his father was bullied by the Japanese, he had a national consciousness from childhood, and in 1940, he poisoned the Japanese army with his classmates in Taiwan and was arrested. In 1945, Japan surrendered, was released from prison, and joined the underground party peripheral organization disguised as the Three Youth League. In the 1946 Shibuya Incident in Tokyo, the Japanese police clashed with the Taiwanese stranded in Japan, killing and wounding dozens of people, the US military unilaterally suppressed the Taiwanese, only arrested and sentenced the Taiwanese, the Chiang authorities did not uphold justice for the Taiwanese, resulting in the outbreak of the February 28 incident the following year, the underground party took advantage of the situation to launch an armed struggle, after the defeat, at the end of 1947 Liu Qingshi went to Shanghai to formally join the underground party, became a correspondent for Cai Xiaogan, the top leader of the Taiwan underground party, and traveled to and from Shanghai, Hong Kong, Okinawa, and Fujian under the cover of joining the Taiwan independence organization to engage in smuggling business. Liaison between Cai Xiaogan and the East China Bureau. The form of the struggle in Taiwan was grim, the East China Bureau informed Cai Xiaogan to evacuate, Liu Qingshi risked passing information back to Taiwan, and Cai Xiaogan, the only Taiwanese who had participated in the Long March, could not let go of his aunt because he had an affair with his aunt, but asked Liu Qingshi to take his wife back to his hometown in Suzhou, and did not evacuate in time. Cai Xiaogan was quickly arrested, but Cai Xiaogan took the opportunity to escape, ran to the Fuzhou people from the New Fourth Army, underground party Zhang Obviously operated a company to hide, and was arrested again, resulting in Zhang Obviously exposed, Zhang Obviously ran to the mountains to fight guerrillas, and was betrayed and sacrificed by the mountain natives. A week after Cai Xiaogan's arrest, the intelligence authorities sent Cai Xiaogan's sister-in-law to prison, and Cai Xiaogan immediately defected, confessing to Wu Shi, vice minister of national defense, and seven lieutenant generals who were preparing for the uprising, as well as all party groups and outsiders in Taiwan. Liu Qingshi was also exposed, and through his sister, he contacted the Hong Kong party organization in secret, informing cai Xiaogan that he was arrested and that he was hiding, and the Hong Kong party organization told them that Taiwan would soon be liberated and asked him to wait for the opportunity. After four years of hiding with the help of relatives and friends, the Korean War broke out, and the liberation of Taiwan took place in a severe form, Liu Qingshi, led by a secret underground party member Lin Xiangri (who was shot in the White Terror in Taiwan), tried to intercede with Interior Minister Jiang Weichuan (a local celebrity in Taiwan), but did not know that Chiang was a secret agent of the Central Unification and was immediately arrested. After his arrest, he was interrogated by Guo Weifang, a member of the underground party's renegade Central Command, who secretly gave him an idea to return to the mainland. Liu Qingshi pretended that he was merely Taiwan independence and confessed his ideas and gained the trust of the Central Committee. He said that everyone in the Taiwan independence circles who had been arrested knew that it was not easy to do it, and the Central Unification sent him to sneak back to the mainland through Hong Kong. When Liu Qingshi arrived in Hong Kong, he contacted the party organization and was escorted to Beijing by cadres of the Ministry of Public Security, where he wrote 100,000 words of materials as the last underground person arrested in Taiwan. He later arranged to work on a farm on the outskirts of Beijing for 22 years. In 1978, he was transferred from the farm to the Beijing Second Foreign Chinese School, and in 1980 he was completely rehabilitated (during the farm period, he was beaten as a current counter-revolutionary because of trivial matters, which had nothing to do with historical issues). In the 1980s, he went to the United States to meet two children in their fifties, and returned to Taiwan to visit his family after Taiwan lifted martial law in 1992. Liu Qingshi is one of the few living witnesses left by Taiwan's underground party.
