From ancient times to the present, Gaobai is a well-known village town in Qingxu or Jinyang, whether in terms of geographical location or survival and life. In ancient times, the bustling city of Inoue people also called the middle and high white also known as Baozile. Before the Cultural Revolution, the entire Baozi Street was full of facades with the corners of the gatehouses, which was a symbol of the prosperity of the business of buying and selling shops (homes) in the early years. Listening to the old man, there are many rich people in Baozile and large families who have come back from the outside to run a business, and my grandfather still opened a silversmith shop.
Because in the early days, the village had a village weir, 'city wall, castle' reason, so the old people called the middle and high white Baozile seems to be beyond reproach.
During the time of the Second Occupation District, Riguan built a carved fort in the southeast, northwest and southeast directions of Baozi Village and sent 'standing troops' to occupy the guard day and night. Listen to the old people, at night, you can hear the sound of coconuts, small gongs and "one whistle, two whistles and safe and soundless." These people who played the night (on duty) were all people from the village who had been designated by the Japanese to take turns.

Eighteen natural villages around Gaobai were formed into brigades, and based on this, the Gaobai People's Commune was formed. The commune was located in a rich man's courtyard in Zhonggaobai, but the office was often in the courtyard of a wide factory in Dongyu Village. In the 1980s and 1990s, the commune was transformed into a township, and the township government was renamed Dongyu Township, and later changed to Dongyu Town.
