Why is so little known about the Nanjing Massacre in the international community? It may be that someone deliberately covered it up
In the last century, there was a war of resistance against Japanese aggression on the mainland that lasted for 8 years, and many tragic things happened in these 8 years, of which the Nanjing Massacre was the most tragic, so tragic that many posterity always thought that this was just a story, and after inadvertently discovering the truth, they found that this was a real event, and compiled into a book, so that future generations can understand history more truly.
In 1937, many women were brutalized by the Japanese army, then this is not the most terrible thing, and then more terrible things happened, these women were pregnant, these women had to face a dilemma, what happened to those children in the end? According to research by Chinese historians and researchers at the Nanjing Massacre Memorial Museum, until now, no woman who has been victims of violence has come forward to admit that her children were caused by Japanese violence, and in fact many children were killed by their mothers when they were just born.
This matter is particularly cruel if placed today, but at that time it was a choice that these women had to make, even if the choice was difficult, many women gave up their lives because of shame and guilt, and a German diplomat reported that between 1937 and 1938, many Chinese women chose to commit suicide by throwing themselves into the river.
Within a month of the Japanese army entering the city of Nanjing alone, there were more than 20,000 rapes and gang rapes, and insulted women of all ages, from children as young as ten years old to old women in their sixties and seventies. Most women were brutalized and then slaughtered and destroyed, and the scene was simply unbearable, and even now when I read this, I can't stop trembling. Nanjing has become a city full of corpses in a short period of time, which can be said to be a veritable dead city.
The Japanese army committed such a cruel act, but they were unwilling to admit it to the international community, so in order to cover up the crime, they tightly sealed the news, and destroyed the corpses, destroying all the evidence, until 1983, the Japanese right-wingers still did not admit to the crimes committed in Nanjing, and even tampered with Japanese textbooks, in a vain attempt to bury this history in the dust of history.
However, this history has slowly surfaced in the efforts of people from all walks of life, and countless righteous people, international friends and foreign journalists have risked their lives to uncover the crimes of the Japanese army and to help Chinese women and children, and most importantly, they have recorded the various atrocities of the Japanese army they have seen in the form of diaries, letters, and photos, so that this history will not be buried.
"Nanjing Massacre" this book truly recorded what happened in the Nanjing Massacre, but also unveiled the various crimes of the Japanese army, the author of this book is called Zhang Chunru, her grandfather is the famous anti-Japanese general Zhang Tiejun, when Zhang Chunru was very young, grandpa would often tell her what happened after the fall of Nanjing, naïve little girl even thought that this tragic thing would not really happen, she always thought that what Grandpa said was just a story. It wasn't until she found an old photograph of the Nanjing Massacre in 1937 that she realized that everything her grandfather had said was true, and she felt particularly angry at this time, because this matter was not recorded in all the English non-fiction books.
Almost the people of the world know hitler's crimes, but the Massacre of the Japanese Army in China is rarely known to the international community, and it can be confirmed that this is deliberately covered up, but the real history will one day reveal the true face of the Japanese Army, and the righteous people will not allow this history to be buried like this. So she spent nearly three years visiting schools, libraries, and museums in the West, visiting many survivors around the world, and later found the "Rabe Diary" and "Weitlin Diary" that had been hidden for more than half a century in a closed library at Yale University, as well as various photos, letters, and even official notes.
As soon as the book came out, it shocked the Western world, and it was reprinted more than ten times in the following years, and has been printed nearly a million copies so far. Zhang Chunru used her impeccable efforts and courage to face up to the terrible memories of human history, but she has also been attacked, and the Japanese right-wing forces have vigorously denied this history, accusing her of lying at the lecture and even warning her family.
Zhang Chunru was shocked and frightened, and had to change her home address and telephone frequently to avoid malicious harassment and intimidation, during which she suffered from severe depression, in 2004, in order to expose more atrocities committed by the Japanese army during World War II, she was ready to write another documentary history book, but during the research period, because she could not bear the evil torture of Japanese humanity, depression recurred.
On November 9, 2004, at the age of 36, she chose to commit suicide by swallowing a gun in a car.
She has always believed that the power of one person can change the world....
Washington Post columnist George W. Bush. Will commented on her and the book that "the Second Nanjing Massacre ended because of Zhang Chunru's book."
In order to thank Zhang Chunru for her appeal to the victims of the Nanjing Massacre, and to express her admiration for her, the "Memorial Hall of the Compatriots Killed in the Nanjing Massacre of the Japanese Army Invading China" carved her deeds on marble so that future generations will always remember her sacrifice and dedication.
