On March 5, 1953, on Jiaoyu Island, located at the southeastern tip of Xiamen in the mainland, a Radio Station called "Nine-Headed Bird" was set up on Jiaoyu Island, which was broadcast on a loop day and night, causing the Kuomintang officers and soldiers to lose their sleep!

The equipment used by this "nine-headed bird" is not simple; they are all the spoils of war of the US military captured from the battlefield of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and they can transmit the broadcast to any place within 10,000 meters.

Since the day the Jiaoyu Island Radio Group was established, kuomintang officers and soldiers in Kinmen have been shrouded in broadcast every day. Five years later, the Kinmen Artillery Battle broke out, and under the wise command of Chairman Mao, the broadcasting of Jiaoyu Island became the second largest battlefield of our army, and a "heart-attacking" war was launched against the Kinmen Kuomintang army.

The broadcasts were broadcast three times a day, up to eight hours a day, and the content was mainly aimed at the "six guarantees" made by the officers and men of the Kuomintang who surrendered to the united states, the great achievements in the construction of the motherland, and the letters from the mainland looking for relatives of the Kuomintang who went to Taiwan. During that time, the sound of cannons and broadcasts alternately reverberated over the Taiwan Strait, turning into a unique landscape in the Taiwan Strait.

The powerful momentum surged from the opposite side of the strait, leaving the Kuomintang army completely powerless. The broadcasting group broadcast it day and night, so that the Kuomintang officers and men across the strait could remember the "six guarantees" of surrender.

Not long after, the Kuomintang officers in Kinmen found that many soldiers were in poor military discipline during working hours, and they turned their heads and ears everywhere, and the military's morale gradually began to be unstable. This caused great panic among the Kuomintang authorities in Kinmen, who discovered that the radio station was gradually destroying the consciousness of the Kuomintang troops.

The angry Kuomintang authorities decided: Immediately find a way to deal with the "Nine-Headed Bird" radio station opposite! The first trick the Kuomintang authorities came up with was to beat the gong and drum. As soon as there was a sound coming from the radio station across the strait, the Kuomintang troops immediately began to beat gongs and drums to confuse the public. Gradually, they found that this trick did not work.

So, I came up with a second trick: shelling, even with tens of thousands of shells, I must blow up the Kakushima Radio Station!

However, no matter how many bombs the enemy used, the "Nine-Headed Bird" horn fort was covered with 2.5 meters thick cement slabs, and it could not be blown up at all! The Kuomintang troops quickly adjusted the firing direction, so that the "Nine-Headed Bird" horn was broken several times. The mainland has built several radio stations in Xiamen, encircling Xiamen.

Soon after, the broadcasting group also found a better trick: they found the families of the Kuomintang officers and men on Kinmen Island and asked them to personally shout at the other side of the strait.

In this "war without smoke of gunfire", the "Nine-Headed Bird" played an extremely important role in guarding the national defense and security of the mainland coast!
