【2021 Annual SUV Sales Ranking List】In 2021, the domestic SUV market will continue to maintain its growth momentum. According to the data released by the Association of Passenger Vehicles, the cumulative wholesale sales of the domestic SUV market in 2021 reached 9.998 million units, an increase of 6.0% year-on-year. According to the data, there are 28 models of SUVs that sell more than 100,000 units in 2021, of which 5 models sell more than 200,000 vehicles in the whole year. The Haval H6 remains the SUV sales champion of the year, with annual sales of 370,400 units, and the only SUV model to sell more than 300,000 units.
Changan CS75 followed, ranking second with sales of 281,900 units. Geely Boyue sold 224,900 vehicles in the whole year, ranking third. It is no surprise that the independent brands have won the top three positions in the SUV sales list.
The six SUVs ranked fourth to ninth all came from the joint venture brand, including four Honda SUVs. Honda CR-V was affected by the "lack of cores" in the second half of the year sales declined, ranking fourth with sales of 200,500 units in the whole year, and became the joint venture SUV sales champion. Its sibling model Haoying sold 164,400 units in the whole year, ranking ninth.
Honda XR-V and Binzhi sales are good, of which XR-V sold 187,800 vehicles in the whole year, ranking seventh; Binzhi's cumulative sales of 173,900 vehicles ranked eighth.
The Tesla Model Y performed well, with cumulative wholesale sales of 200,100 units throughout the year, ranking fifth, and becoming the best-selling mid-size SUV and the most popular luxury brand SUV.
Toyota Rav4 sales of nearly 200,000 units, ranking sixth with sales of 195,400 units. In addition, there are a number of Toyota SUV sales, including Toyota Veranda sales of 125,900 units, Toyota Highlander sales of 107,700 units.
Chery Tiggo 8 sold 160,900 units in the whole year, ranking tenth and the best-selling autonomous mid-size SUV. The Hongqi HS5 sold 131,600 units in the whole year, second only to the Tiggo 8 in sales of autonomous mid-size SUVs. Jietu X70 also sold more than 100,000 units to 124,600 units, with an average monthly sales of more than 10,000 vehicles.
In terms of luxury brands, in addition to the Tesla Model Y, mercedes-Benz GLC sold 140,000 units in the whole year, Audi Q5L sold 134,600 units, and BMW X3 sold 129,000 units.
Other joint venture SUVs with better sales include the Volkswagen Tiguan L with annual sales of 158,400 units, the Nissan Qashqai with cumulative sales of 156,900 units, the Buick Encore with 146,500 units, and the Volkswagen Tuyue with 125,100 units.
The annual sales of more than 100,000 self-owned SUV also include: Geely Binyue, Changan CS55, MG ZS, Changan Auchan X5, Haval M6, BYD Song New Energy, Haval Big Dog and so on.
