Sales increased by 103,000 units, up 13.0% year-on-year compared to the same period last year.
The data shows that haval H6 and Changan CS75 are still the sales champions of domestic compact SUVs, but they have fallen considerably compared with the same period last year. In the first quarter, haval H6's cumulative wholesale sales of 76,823 vehicles ranked first, down 32.0% year-on-year, and sales decreased by 36,120 units.
Changan CS75 has accumulated sales of 70,507 vehicles, ranking second, down 35,822 units from the same period last year, down 33.7% year-on-year.
Geely Boyue and Haval M6 are also domestic independent compact SUVs with large declines in hot models, of which Geely Boyue has accumulated sales of 36,961 vehicles, down 38.1% year-on-year, and the ranking has also dropped from the third place in the same period last year to the sixth place this year; the cumulative sales of Haval M6 have 19,726 vehicles, ranking only fifteenth, down 47.0% year-on-year, and sales have decreased by 17,473 vehicles.
BYD Song New Energy is the largest growing domestic compact SUV, with cumulative sales of 70,207 units in the first quarter, ranking third, compared with 1795 units in the same period last year, which can be described as a 38-fold increase.
CS55 and Auchan X5 from Changan also maintained growth, of which Changan CS55 accumulated sales of 53348 vehicles, ranking fourth, an increase of 57.5% year-on-year; Changan Auchan X5 sales of 39446 vehicles, ranking fifth, an increase of 14,6%.
Compared with the same period last year, the sales of Trumpchi GS4 and Roewe RX5, two once very popular models, have picked up, of which Trumpchi GS4 sales of 36,060 units, an increase of 28.6% year-on-year; Roewe RX5 sales of 29,752 units, up 180.3% year-on-year.
Wuling Xingchen, which was launched in September last year, performed well, with cumulative sales of 31,758 vehicles in the first quarter, ranking eighth, becoming the best-selling SUV model under SAIC-GM-Wuling.
In addition, the cumulative sales of Geely Xingyue L are also close to 30,000 vehicles, reaching 29,563 units. Tiggo 7 has sold 28,016 vehicles, ranking eleventh, an increase of 52.8% year-on-year. The sales of tanks 300 and Haval dogs from Great Wall Motors are also good, of which the cumulative sales of tank 300s reached 25,753 units, up 79.8% year-on-year; Haval big dogs sold 24,562 vehicles, ranking thirteenth, an increase of 8.4% year-on-year.
