With Toyota's high-profile launch of many new automotive products, Honda, another representative car company of Japanese cars, has also accelerated the layout of new products. Both Toyota and Honda have adhered to the same strategy in the development of new cars, that is, sister twin models. After developing Esprit (renamed English Poetry) based on Accord, we have seen the CR-V sister car BREEZE Haoying, the Fit sister car LIFE and the model based on the twelfth generation Civic over the past two years, and now we have ushered in the new Honda ZR-V. Unlike the previous two-model products, this newly developed compact SUV is located between cr-V and XR-V, and has become a direct competitor of Toyota Corolla Sharpspring and Nissan Qashqai. But what is a little confusing is that the new nameplate of ZR-V does not belong to Dongfeng Honda, but becomes a member of Guangqi Honda, and at the same time obtains the Chinese name of "Zhi zai", in other words, it is actually a supplement between Haoying and Binzhi.
A few days ago, Guangqi Honda released the official preview of honda ZR-V, but once such a preview map was released, it set off a lot of waves in the market. On the one hand, we can see that in addition to the sporty design of the vehicle such as the rounded grille, the sharp muscle lines on the hood and the three-zone diversion of the bumper, it also emphasizes its sense of premium through more regular headlights and body structure, and also shows its relationship with the overseas third-generation Honda HR-V American standard car.
But on the other hand, we found that the front shape and style of the ZR-V zhizai have a high degree of similarity with the MG pilot created by SAIC MG, including the intake grille supported by multiple hood lines, the three-zone diversion in the bumper, etc., which make it difficult for ZR-V to maintain its personality. In addition, if you really want to talk about personality recognition, the MG pilot who uses an independent double-layer plate to shape the front and spoiler will be the one who performs better.
Looking at ZR-V through the side rear direction, in fact, there is some inheritance and preview flavor in it. This preview refers to the fact that it is somewhat similar to the various exposure and reverie drawings of the new generation of overseas CR-V, and this inheritance means that its straight high waist line and roof structure are consistent with Honda's crown road, and the determination of family style will help improve the overall recognition of the product. Of course, the double encirclement of the entire chassis and the rear bumper can still improve the survivability of ZR-V in complex road conditions.
At present, ZR-V is not yet in the new car declaration directory of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and our further detailed data on it is not clear. However, according to domestic auto media reports, the model may enter the market with a length, width and height of 4330/1770/1605mm and a wheelbase of 2610mm, which is almost the same as binzhi in the current market.
Although the complete interior of ZR-V has not yet been exposed in China, we can still make a bold guess through the Indonesian version of the third-generation HR-V.
Like Honda's new generation models such as the 12th-generation Civic, the ZR-V will probably also feature a through-channel air conditioner air outlet and a suspended central touch screen, while the three-spoke steering wheel with a lower spoke skeleton maintains a slender skeleton structure. At the same time, ZR-V will also use more chrome metal banners or other material decorative panels inside to complete the visual integration of cross-areas. All in all, the ZR-V is bound to maintain a neat and tidy cabin style.
In terms of in-vehicle configuration, since ZR-V will share the Civic's architectural platform, this means that most of its configuration specifications will be similar to the latter. Guangqi Honda may bring a combination of 10.2-inch LCD instrument panel and 9.0-inch LCD touch screen into the cabin, and including Honda CONNECT 3.0 intelligent guidance interconnection system and Honda SENSING safety supersensitive system will not be absent, and such a combination of software and hardware will help it surpass the previous corolla replay.
