Fast Technology reported on May 5 that a few days ago, Faraday Future ("FF") has a new move, but it is not FF 91 to be delivered, but the appointment of a new vice president of manufacturing Rich Schmidt.
Rich, who has 35 years of automotive manufacturing experience, will lead FF's manufacturing team and the company's FF ieFactory California in Hanford, California, and oversee ongoing development, parts and mold management and recruitment related to the production of FF 91.
Rich spent 16 years at Toyota Motor Corporation, responsible for manufacturing and engineering, and left Toyota to work in manufacturing and engineering at companies such as Nissan, Hyundai, Volkswagen and Tesla.
In mid-April, the first production car, FF 91 Futurist, rolled off the production line, and at the mass production ceremony, FF founder Jia Yueting said that all our ununderstood crazy persistence and decisive efforts have finally been exchanged for today's SOP (start of mass production), which can be described as nine years of suffocating dreams and finally ushering in the moment of subversion.
I don't know if the joining of Rich can increase the mass production speed of FF 91 and help Jia Yueting complete his nine-year dream of building a car.
