On the afternoon of April 25, the 2024 Global Sugar Market Supply and Demand Situation Analysis Forum was successfully held in Nanning, Guangxi. This forum is one of the theme forums of the 2024 China (Nanning) Sugar Market Situation Analysis Conference, where world-renowned sugar consulting companies, representatives of the Thai Sugar Industry and Sugarcane Council, and large domestic and foreign sugar traders conducted in-depth discussions on the latest situation of the global sugar market, sugar consumption, trade flow and sugarcane ethanol policy, providing participants with rich industry information and cutting-edge views.
The meeting was presided over by Deng Yi, chairman of Yunnan Sugar Association. First of all, Dr. Claudiu Covrig, founder of CovrigAnalytics, a world-renowned sugar consulting company, gave an in-depth analysis of the production status, trade development trends, challenges and opportunities of the global sugar market through a series of data.

Pan Yiping, Manager of Yihai Kerry White Sugar Department, delivered a keynote speech on "Sugarcane Ethanol Policy and Long-term Prospects and Trends of Sugar Market", sharing the impact of the promotion of sugarcane ethanol policies in Brazil, India and other countries on the supply and demand pattern of the sugar market, and pointed out that the development and evolution of sugarcane ethanol policy will have a profound impact on the long-term supply and demand pattern of the global sugar market, making the trend of sugar prices more energy attributes, which is worthy of close attention in the industry.
