The new car launched a total of two configurations, the Zhixiang type and the Zhiya type, priced at 102,800 yuan and 112,800 yuan respectively. The new car not only has a major change in appearance, but also cancels the manual transmission model, raising the starting price of the product to more than 100,000 yuan. As a former SUV segment blockbuster model, after entering 2022, Boyue sales have fallen into a downturn, and Geely hopes to make a comeback through the competitiveness of new products.

In terms of appearance, the 2022 Boyue adopts the Geely 4.0 family straight waterfall front face design, which is composed of 16 high-gloss chrome trim strips composed of "energy strings" front grille shape, which visually helps to improve the grade of the vehicle. The interior adopts a new beige brown two-color collocation, plus a 10.25-inch central control screen and intelligent electronic shift lever, full LCD instrument and other configurations, which also give people a sense of tall vision. Of course, this is all a tried-and-tested design bridge section of the new car of its own brand. At the same time, the 80% soft leather wrapping provided by the 2022 Boyue model, the fully fitted chair body decompression ridge guard, the 360-degree seal design of the engine compartment, the acoustic package at 90+ places of the vehicle and other new sound insulation designs and a more linear braking system have all improved driving comfort. It is worth mentioning that on the power system, the 2022 Boyue directly canceled the 1.8T+6MT power combination of the old model. The two new cars on the market are equipped with a 1.8TD+7DCT powertrain, with a maximum power of 135 kW, a maximum torque of 300 N·m, and a comprehensive fuel consumption of 7.7 liters per 100 km.

The 2022 Boyue model will focus more on meeting the needs of users over the age of 35. As the main sales model of Geely Automobile for six years, Boyue was also a blockbuster product of the brand and the SUV market. The cumulative sales of the car have exceeded one million. However, in the increasingly inward-coiled competition in the compact SUV market, Boyue performed poorly. In the 2021 SUV segment sales TOP10 list, Boyue ranked sixth with a cumulative sales volume of 191,500 vehicles for the whole year, down 9% year-on-year. Moreover, the days when the monthly sales exceeded 30,000 vehicles seem to have been far away from the geely sales responsibility. In the past year, Boyue has only sold more than 20,000 vehicles in two months. After entering 2022, Boyue continues to be squeezed out of the TOP15 monthly sales of SUVs. According to the statistics of the National Association of Passenger Vehicles, in the first quarter of this year, boyue's cumulative sales of less than 30,000 vehicles, down 41% year-on-year. In March, Boyue's sales volume also fell by 33.25% year-on-year. The decline in production and sales of car companies cannot be completely attributed to the "lack of core", and the decline in product competitiveness is also an indisputable fact. The listing of the 2022 Boyue wants to join hands with Boyue X to regain lost ground in the 100,000-level compact SUV market through a series of changes.
