Guangqi Honda said that the meaning of ZR-V is profound, the "zhi" in the Chinese name means yearning and arriving, and "in" means free and free, galloping freely, becoming a colorful and exquisite personality in complex life, allowing consumers to enjoy the freedom of the city. The "Z" in the English name ZR-V is not only the third unknown in the exponential function, but also responds to the vision and requirements of Generation Z for mobility, implying variable, unknown, new experience and ultimate pursuit; and "R" stands for Run-about, for free galloping; "V" is Vehicle, in order to continue the worldview of GAC Honda SUV, leading the era with a new car.
It is understood that the design of zhi in ZR-V originated from honda's new C-SUV project, hoping to create a new C-class SUV model. In the early stage of design concept determination, the keywords of "creating something that does not exist" and "working for oneself" were taken as the origin of the design, and a new design method that broke the convention was tried, which was different from other SUV models that blindly pursued toughness, and realized the full release of the personality of the car itself and the personality of the user.
In terms of appearance, in the smooth and plump oval body of the ZR-V, a geometric sports grille and sharp thin headlights are integrated, and the hexagonal blackened front grille is used as the base point to suppress the grille position, reflecting a sense of strength that has been accumulated. At the same time, two highly tense blade-like rib lines are introduced above the hood, and the lower part of the headlights and next to the bumper are also used to form a smooth line, forming the effect of the ellipsoid flowing from the side to the rear.
