Xiaopeng G9

With its newly released G9 SUV, Xiaopeng entered fierce competition in the off-road class. The G9 is Xiaopeng Automobile's fourth electric vehicle and will take on the new responsibility of Xiaopeng to attack the city.

The new SUV will feature Xiaopeng's new X-EEA 3.0 architecture, a proprietary EV platform that integrates hardware, software and communications. The G9 is also capable of receiving Over-the-Air Firmware (FOTA) updates within 30 minutes.

The new Xiaopeng model will use the new generation XPower 3.0 powertrain system, with the first 800V mass production SiC platform in China. Polestar 3

The Polestar Polestar 3 remains one of the most mysterious electric cars. As you can see from the image above, the only image released by the Volvo Group subsidiary is still a photo dressed in camouflage.

Last summer, Polestar revealed that it was developing its third EV, an SUV built and sold specifically for the U.S. market, and we know the Polestar 3 will debut on a new generation EV architecture designed from scratch by Volvo Car Group that will be built around aerodynamic performance.

In addition, consumers can expect high-end, safety-focused autonomous driving features on their Polestar 3. Powered by technology company Luminar's top-of-the-line LiDAR sensors and NVIDIA CENTRAL PROCESSOR, the Polestar 3 provides strong support for its high-speed automatic driver assistance system.

Unfortunately, no other specs are shared at this time, but will be announced later. Polestar 3 is expected to go into production sometime in 2022.

Nissan Ariya

Nissan became an early exponent of eviction production with its earlier electric vehicle, the LEAF, although it hasn't done much innovation since then. However, it is one of the global automakers joining the UN-supported Zero Emissions Race, which aims to be 100% electrified by the "early 2030s". The new journey begins with the Ariya crossover.

Originally unveiled in the summer of 2020, Nissan shares the progress of its first electric SUV through prototype testing. Last fall, Ariya officially launched in the U.S., with a suggested retail price of $46,000 (excluding taxes and other fees) when booking began.

It will come in four trim models, each with an 87 kWh battery, three of which are FWD. The estimated range is 265-300 miles.

Volkswagen ID.5

The ID.5 is the latest addition to the Volkswagen Group and its ID range of all-electric vehicles. The German automaker's ID.3 and ID.4 electric vehicles have been a huge success worldwide and want to accelerate the electrification strategy for all of its brands.

Last summer, ahead of the IAA Motor Show in Munich, we saw a preview of the "near-production" version of its ID.5 GTX. However, Volkswagen shared more details of the ID.5 and ID.5 GTX last November, including the single RWD and dual-motor AWD versions on the automaker's proprietary MEB platform.

Volkswagen has not yet confirmed the exact range or price of any version of ID.5, but it should arrive in the UK and EU after the pricing news is released and go on sale in early 2022.

Hyundai IONIQ5

The IONIQ5 is hyundai's first electric vehicle under the new all-electric IONIQ sub-brand and the first to debut on the Group's new E-GMP platform. Part of the appeal of the IONIQ5 is its wide body and long wheelbase, giving it the largest interior space in its class, surpassing the Mach-E and Volkswagen ID.4.

It's also packed with cool technologies such as AR head-up displays, advanced ADAS, and V2L capabilities. This means it can power your device while camping and even charge other electric cars. Its long-endurance two-wheel drive model has a cruising range of up to 480 kilometers under WLTP conditions, and it takes only 18 minutes for the power to be charged from 10% to 80%.

The iX is the first all-electric model in bmw's X series. The more entry-level xDrive 40 has a maximum power of 326 hp, a peak torque of 630 Nm, a battery capacity of 76.6 kWh, a WLTP range of 425 km, and an official 100 km/h acceleration of 6.1 seconds. Cadillac Lyriq

Cadillac Lyriq will be the brand's first electric vehicle to debut and will be powered by GM's BEV3 platform — part of its parent company's strategy to release 20 new electric vehicles by 2023.

Since its official unveiling in August 2020, we've learned (and reported) a lot about Lyriq, including its three-foot display, head-up AR display, and infotainment systems designed to compete with Tesla's UX.

Following the launch of the product last August, we learned that the Cadillac Lyriq will also start at just under $60,000 at $58,795. As a result, Lyriq sold out in just 19 minutes. As we expect to deliver in 2022, Cadillac recently shared the lens of its latest prototype before going into full production.

Rivian R1S

The Rivian R1S is an SUV version of its flagship R1T, the first all-electric pickup to hit the market. It has many of the same unique features as the R1T Electrek of the year, but with more space inside.

The initial release of the R1S was recently delivered at the end of December, but two lower-cost SUVs will be available in 2022. These include the Adventure and Explore kits, each offering an EPA estimated range of 316 miles, which is not bad for electric cars of this size and size.

Delivery times will vary depending on the trims and add-ons you choose on the R1S, but expect to see more on the road in 2022.

Kia EV6

The electric car will be the third electric vehicle to be launched on the E-GMP platform in 2022, representing the beginning of Kia's transition to an all-electric product lineup. Both the Kia EV6 and EV6 GT-line are available in a long-life version of the 77.4kWh battery pack and a standard version of the 58kWh battery pack, as well as 4WD and 2WD versions.

Very similar to its modern counterparts, the Kia EV6 received some positive reviews and was in demand from the start. Kia recently shared that the electric car will be available in 2022 and will have a range of up to 310 miles. The top-of-the-line EV6 GT is only available in a long-range 4WD version with a maximum power of 585 hp, a peak torque of 740 Nm, an acceleration time of only 3.5 s from 0 to 100 km/h, a top speed of 260 km/h, and a dedicated electronic limited-slip differential.
