The price reduction of the Leap T03 has brought big trouble to Leap Auto: the number of complaints has increased sharply

In January ~ August this year, the cumulative sales of Leap Auto were 73,029 units, which was also higher than the sales volume of Xpeng Motors in the first 8 months.

At the recently opened Munich Motor Show, Leapmotor also unveiled its first global model, the Leapmotor C10. The car is based on Leapmotor's latest "Clover" central integrated electronic and electrical architecture, and is also equipped with lidar and advanced driver assistance functions. In terms of power, the new car will be launched in two versions: pure electric and extended range hybrid.

In order to further increase market sales, Leapmotor announced on September 1 that it will launch a subsidy program for its micro pure electric vehicle, Leapmotor T03. Purchases of Leap T03 series models from September 1 to 30 can enjoy a subsidy of up to 10,000 yuan.

It seems that price reduction is a double-edged sword for car companies. This can increase sales, but it can also lead to a surge in complaints. In the face of a large number of complaints caused by price reductions, I don't know how Leapmotor will respond.

August sales data also shows that among the three models currently on sale, the Leap T03 has the worst sales.

In addition, the financial report data for the first half of 2023 recently released by Leapmotor shows that the total revenue in the first half of the year was 5.813 billion yuan, and the net loss was 2.276 billion yuan.

Statistics show that from 2019 to the first half of this year, Leap Auto has a cumulative loss of 12.2 billion yuan.
