NIO revealed that on August 1, 2023, an online account made a fake vehicle explosion video through the "Shifting Flowers and Trees" clip, spreading false information and maliciously smearing NIO and NIO products, causing a large number of dissemination, which seriously violated NIO's legitimate rights and interests. At present, the public security organs have locked the actual controller of the relevant account, Jin, investigated and verified the relevant illegal acts, and formally made a detention decision on him in accordance with relevant laws, and will conduct further investigations on the source of his false information.

In addition, with the assistance of NIO, the public security machine has recently successfully detected a case of malicious attack on NIO's information system, and has arrested the relevant criminal suspect, and the criminal case is being further investigated.

NIO stated that it is suspected of seriously infringing the legitimate rights and interests of NIO and NIO users that some relevant accounts continue to publish content that maliciously abuses and smears NIO and NIO users, or uses extremely vulgar and harsh language to attack NIO and NIO users without any basis. NIO said it had fixed relevant evidence, filed a lawsuit against the online accounts, including "Old Man X", and would take legal action against the online accounts, including "Brother X Tram" and its actual controller.
