IT Home reported on May 31 that Liu Yangwei, chairman of Hon Hai, said at the shareholders' meeting on May 31 that preparations for mass production of Model B electric vehicles will be made at the end of the fourth quarter of this year, and "reservations will be accepted from the end of this year to early next year."

IT Home noted that Foxconn's parent company, Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd., released a new electric vehicle model, Model B, in October 2022, but it has not been mass-produced and launched for a long time. According to reports, the Model B prototype has a drag coefficient of only 0.26, has a range of 450 kilometers, and accelerates from zero to 100 in 6.6 seconds.

At the Hon Hai Tech Day event held last October, the company showcased a production version of its Model B electric vehicle. It adopts a closed front face with a continuous light cluster design, and is available in regular colors such as red and blue.
