Auto Bild Weekly, one of Germany's representative automotive media, compared in detail the two electric crossover SUVs of the hyundai IONIQ5 and Mercedes-Benz EQB in the latest issue, and appeared on the cover story of the current issue. In this competition, Auto Bild Weekly planned a total of 7 categories including body, driving comfort, powertrain, vehicle dynamic performance, vehicle networking system, environmental protection and cost, and then subdivided into 53 sub-categories to score together, with a score of 800 points. In terms of results, IONIQ5 scored an overall score of 582, 20 points more than the 562 scored by EQB, and was rated the same or even surpassed EQB in 5 of these major categories.

However, this is not the first time that IONIQ 5 has overpowered EQB in German media competitions. In fact, another German media, Auto Zeitung Biweek, also recently conducted an electric vehicle collective review, when in addition to EQB, also included Kia EV6, Tesla Model Y and Polestar 2 and other models, the final result is still IONIQ 5 gets the highest evaluation, which shows that IONIQ 5's product power does have its outstanding features.

The IONIQ 5 released in February 2021 is based on the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), a modular platform for electric vehicles, and plans to provide a long-mileage version with a battery capacity of 72.6kWh and a standard version of 58kWh, with AWD four-wheel drive or 2WD rear-drive models each available, which can output 306 horsepower, accelerate 100 in 5.2 seconds, and have a WLTP range of up to 480 kilometer.

On the other hand, IONIQ 5 also has 400V and 800V two kinds of fast charging specifications corresponding to the patented technology, switch to the 800V charging station charging without additional adapter, fast charging power can reach up to 350kW, can increase 100 km endurance in 5 minutes, 18 minutes charging to 80%. Its power output is available in 4 sizes, ranging from 168 to 306 horses, depending on the standard version, the long-mileage version, the front-drive and four-wheel drive. At present, the first wave of 120 vehicles imported by Nanyang Industrial, the general agent of Taiwan Hyundai, has been sold out, and has coordinated with the original factory to obtain more supplies.
