Mercedes-Benz unveils vision EQXX concept car
In the early morning of January 4, Beijing time, Mercedes-Benz released its new concept model, VISION EQXX, at the CES 2022 exhibition. The design of this car is inspired by the aerodynamic concept car Concept IAA released by Mercedes-Benz, while the wind resistance coefficient of the VISION EQXX is only 0.17Cd.
In addition, Mercedes-Benz also equipped the car with a 47.5-inch large screen, which has a resolution of 7680 * 660 pixels (8K). In the power section, the VISION EQXX Concept uses a power unit based on the power unit of the Mercedes-AMG Project ONE supercar, with a maximum power of 204 horsepower.
The Vision EQXX concept car of Mercedes-Benz also uses a lot of environmentally friendly materials in the interior. And the architecture of the car system is built according to the principle of neuromorphicism, using a way of working that imitates the human brain thinking, and its speech wake-up speed is 5-10 times that of the traditional voice control function.
It is said that it is a concept car, but in fact, the VISION EQXX is already very close to the production version of the model. The technology shown on it may soon appear on Mercedes-Benz's next pure electric products, such as this 47.5-inch giant screen and interactive system.
Its biggest highlight is that Mercedes-Benz said that the power consumption of EQXX can be less than 10 kWh per 100 kilometers, and the mileage of a single charge after digital simulation in real road conditions is more than 1000 kilometers. It is believed that this energy consumption performance and endurance is also a milestone breakthrough for electric vehicles.

A new BMW iX model is launched
Also at this CES show, BMW unveiled new models for its iX series. Among them, the iX M60, as a high-performance version of the iX, has up to 619 horsepower and a price of 996,900 yuan in the Chinese market. In addition, BMW China also released the price of the iX xDrive 40, which is 746,900 yuan. Coupled with the previously available iX xDrive 50 models, the BMW iX series currently has three models in configuration.
Since the BMW iX M60 is a high-performance version of the iX series, the power performance will naturally not be weak. The four-wheel drive system consisting of front and rear dual motors is adopted, with a maximum power of 455 kW, a peak torque of 1100 N·m, and an acceleration time of only 3.8 s from 0 to 100 km/h, while the extreme speed is limited to 250 km/h. In addition, the maximum cruising range of the iX M60 under WLTP conditions is 566km.
As for the iX xDrive 40, it has a maximum power of 240 kW, a peak torque of 630 N·m, and an acceleration time of 6.1 seconds from 0-100 km/h.
BMW's iX series is an SUV model based on a pure electric platform, and at the previous Guangzhou Auto Show, the iX xDrive 50 has released its price of 846,900 yuan. After adding two new models this time, the iX series is equivalent to a total of three models with high and low power and high performance versions, but the high price makes the prospects of the iX series in the domestic market look relatively slim.
