The journey of the VISION EQXX concept car starts from Sindelfingen, Germany, with a high-speed cruise of 140 km / h and an average speed of 87.4 km / h, through a variety of complex traffic environments, to Reach Cassis, France. When the trip is completed, the vehicle has about 15% of its remaining power, meaning that the goal of more than 1,000 kilometers on a single charge is easily achieved.

With a drag coefficient of 0.17, the VISION EQXX Concept shows high efficiency when cruising at 140 km/h thanks to a windward area of 2.12 m2 and a compact rear wheelbase. The active rear diffuser at a speed of 60 km/h automatically opens to optimise airflow, and the Bridgestone tire roll resistance coefficient is only 4.7.

The dedicated battery pack of the VISION EQXX Concept has nearly 100 kWh of energy, comparable to the EQS. At the same time, the size of the vehicle's battery pack has been reduced by 50% and the weight has been reduced by 30%. The VISION EQXX Concept is equipped with 117 solar cells on the roof to power a 12-volt battery system. Solar charging increases the range of the VISION EQXX Concept by more than 2%.

The concept car's electric drive consists of an electric motor, transmission and power electronics with a peak output of 180 kilowatts and is capable of transferring 95% of the battery energy directly to the wheels. The battery pack of the VISION EQXX Concept has an energy density of nearly 400 Wh/L and the operating voltage is increased to more than 900 volts.

The vision EQXX concept car's heat sink mounted on the vehicle's baseplate uses airflow to equalize the cooling of the drivetrain, increasing the vehicle's cruising range by approximately 20 km. Under certain operating conditions, the vehicle air conditioning system activates the "smart air curtain" of the active air intake grille for efficient thermal management. When the "smart air curtain" is open, the wind resistance coefficient is only increased by 0.007.
