Hello, everyone! I'm Mogo
Since its birth, the AITO brand has been deeply bound to Huawei's traffic password. It never recognizes itself as Huawei, but everyone knows it is Huawei.
The last time I went on the hot search, it was also because Huawei: Huawei's "Yu Dazui" admitted for the first time, a rare admission that the goal of letting AITU Ask M5 sell 300,000 a year is not realistic. He reset a relatively "realistic goal": 100,000 units.
So this car with too many Huawei brandings, is it worth getting started? Through a relatively deep test drive, I came to the conclusion that it was worth starting with, but lacking heartwarming surprises.
Q&A M5
What a car
Last December, Xilix suddenly released a new high-end brand: AITO. The simple press conference didn't even attract much attention, after all, Cyrus was an unfamiliar brand. Although Xilis was a new company established at the end of May 2019, the team began the development of pure electric vehicle models as early as 2016. The first product was the SF5, which was once sold in Huawei stores.
To be fair, the SF5 is not a shoddy product, but the volume and sales of Cyrus are pitifully small. So, the brand chose to hug Huawei's thigh. Huawei also needs a small, obedient partner to implement its own product concept.
Cyrus SF5
The result of the cooperation between Cyris and Huawei is the M5. A range-extended electric vehicle positioned as a midsize SUV. The official guidance price is 25.98-319,800 yuan.
Therefore, compared to Xilis, this car has more of a brand from Huawei. Electric drive system from Huawei, smart cockpit from Huawei... Even the sound system is HUAWEI SOUND.
Another highlight is that it has a program extender, using Huawei's DriveONE pure electric drive range extender platform. Its 1.5T four-cylinder range extender can generate 3.2 kWh of oil per liter of oil, and the vehicle can achieve an endurance of 1100 kilometers when the oil is full. This year's Spring Festival, Yu Chengdong, the head of Huawei's car manufacturing, advertised on Weibo that the 1,400 kilometers from his hometown to Shenzhen would only add a little fuel.
After a brief understanding, let's talk about why I said this car is worth starting, but it is difficult to be impressed.
These two points make it worth getting started
The car was very good to drive
Yes, it's a good car to drive. Such an evaluation is difficult to give a new force new energy vehicle, I have always believed that their shortcomings lie in the driving experience, especially their chassis is too loose. As for the M5, Ben didn't have any expectations for it, but after getting started, I felt that it was: amazing.
The suspension configuration of the front double wishbone and rear multi-link is also the standard level in the price range. However, after actual driving, it was found that its tuning had a sense of maturity that was difficult to see in the trams of the new forces. Whether it is the filtration of the fine bumps or the softness and hardness of the suspension, there is a maturity rarely seen in the new forces.
At the same time, the driving mode has a wealth of adjustment options. In particular, the steering power mode is also adjustable. I think the so-called steering feel mainly depends on two levels: light or heavy, and whether the following is good. Most of the new power trams are light but lack follower. The M5 is light but has good following, and as a medium-sized SUV, it doesn't have much of a big car feel.
As an electrically driven model, its acceleration capacity does not have to worry. The test drive of the four-wheel drive flagship version uses front and rear dual motors, a total of 496 horsepower, and the acceleration of 100 kilometers takes only 4.4 seconds. The minimum 100-kilometer acceleration of the all-wheel drive model is also within 5 seconds. The lowest configuration, the rear-drive standard version, the single motor also has 272 horsepower. Power should never be the weakness of the tram.
Although one of the big selling points of the M5 is the range extender power, the 1.5T four-cylinder range extender can bring a maximum range of 1100 kilometers (WLTC). But I think what's more important is that it has a pure electric range of 180 kilometers. This level of endurance, if combined with its own charging pile, can already rely on pure electricity mode to achieve daily commuting. Unfortunately, subject to a short one-day test drive trip, it is not possible to experience the power performance and energy consumption level of this car in a state of power loss, and then tell everyone after a deeper test drive.
The design is mature
The Sf5 car does not need to be test-driven, and the uncoordinated appearance and lack of design interior can dissuade most consumers. This is no way, designing this thing either requires real money and money, or the accumulation of long-term experience, which is a luxury for the previously small Cyris.
Born out of the Cyrus SF5, the M5 styling has improved more than one dimension. The overall round, simple shape, not ostentatious, not exaggerated, but it is also difficult to pick out faults. I have to admire the achievements and accumulation of Huawei's product design.
Of course, this appearance looks like a Certain Ashkenazi luxury brand from some angles...
The design of the interior is also very mature. Whether it is design or materials, it has made qualitative progress compared with the previous Celis products. At this price point, it has everything that should be given to consumers. The overall design and the use of materials have the atmosphere and exquisite taste of Huawei's flagship products.
A little surprise is that the ergonomics of this car are also just right. This is difficult for many new power brands in the past, such as sitting posture and vision. It may be hard to describe, but after your test drive you feel like everything is natural. Unlike some new power hit model, you'll never find a comfortable seat.
To say a small detail, this is the most convenient position of the Type-C interface in front of the co-driver in my recent test drive vehicle.
The front wireless charging board is also just very comfortable to put the mobile phone, and the back also has a heat dissipation ventilation interface. Sure enough, it is Huawei, and it is very experienced in what mobile devices need.
Of course, as a car, it still has room for improvement. For example, the storage space in the front row is not very comprehensive. The front armrest has only one cup holder and the glove box volume is almost nothing.
In the assembly quality of some details, there is also room for improvement. For example, the texture of the door handle can be further improved, and the rear cup holder is obviously a little loose. These can be improved in the future through improved process progress.
Overall, the car shows an interesting side: often where the new forces don't do well, it does a good job. Whether it is the dynamic driving texture or the ergonomic design, it is far beyond expectations. But the M5 lacks a reason to make my heart move, why? You may find that you have not written about the Hongmeng car machine here, which is one of the reasons why it is difficult for me to move.
These two points
There was a lack of surprises
Huawei Intelligent Experience
Not complete
One sentence can summarize the M5 car machine: spend 4999 yuan to buy a Huawei MatePad Pro, spend 2 yuan to buy a roll of double-sided tape, and glue the pad to the center console. This 5001 yuan allows you to get the experience, which is basically the same as on the M5 of the question world. Of course, as a car machine, it must be integrated with a lot of vehicle-related operations.
Speaking with conscience, this set of machines, whether it is smooth or functional, is one of the best experiences today. Hongmeng OS also supports a huge application market, with the convenience of today's car machines. Voice assistants are also the relatively smart ones in today's car machines. The various features are easy to use and convenient.
However, that's only it. This car does not use the full huawei smart cockpit, the connection with Huawei equipment is not very convenient, and you cannot achieve such a cool operation as dragging the mobile phone screen directly into the car machine.
Assisted driving and autonomous driving configurations are also not complete. It is equipped with only 1 high-perception camera, 3 mmWave radar, 4 surround view cameras, and 8 ultrasonic radars.
The back row is not a strong point
Most importantly, this is a mid-size SUV, but space is not its strength. This is mainly subject to the overall shape, the slippery back design makes the second row of although the leg space is not particularly generous, the head space has been slightly cramped.
In fact, there is still a lot of room margin behind the second row, which we can see from the deep trunk space. Of course, compared to the back row of the Cyrus SF5, the Inquisition M5 has improved a lot. The back row experience of the original Cyris SF5 is close to the CH-R, and the small poor rear window is extremely depressing.
The rear configuration is also slightly modest. The front row has seat heating, ventilation, and massage, and the rear row is just a row of seats. Even the rear air conditioner lacks a regulating function.
The tone of the products currently displayed by the Q&C seems to be more suitable for those low-key, family-oriented consumers. If the Q&C M5 can improve the experience in the back row, it will have a wider audience. Therefore, I am particularly looking forward to the upcoming 6-seat Q&A M7. With range extender power, the same 5 meters of body, and Huawei blessing, it may be the challenger of the ideal one.

Write at the end
As a big fan of Huawei, I love the disruptive app experience. For example, mobile phones, multi-camera is not Huawei's initiative, telephoto camera is not Huawei's initiative, but Huawei is the first brand to find the appropriate application environment for these technologies and truly transform these technologies into user experience.
The Mate 30 Pro is still my favorite phone at the moment
I think this is why Huawei has been controversial all the way, but the core of success along the way. Of course, behind this is countless Huawei engineers, which is supported by massive research and development costs. Various external reasons have allowed Huawei to step into the automotive field, but the automobile is also a more complex field. The M5 is still a pass, but it is difficult to talk about excellent answers. I hope that one day, I will see the P series and Mate series in the car.
