On December 12th, sponsored by the Fujian Provincial Women's Federation and the Fuzhou Women's Federation and undertaken by Fujian Yahao Media Group, the "Visiting the Historical Context of Fujian and Taiwan to Find the Common Origin of the Two Sides of the Strait" was held at the Fuzhou Strait Women and Children's Activity Center.
During the three-week event, 20 teenagers from Fujian and Taiwan and 30 teenagers from mainland China opened the Dream Building Tour for young people in Fujian and Taiwan through three theme activities: "Love • Ancient House", "Fengming • West Lake" and "Dream Building • Strait". Through activities such as searching, discussion, and sharing, and closely centering on the spirit of the important instructions on the two sides of the strait in General Secretary Xi Jinping's "July 1st" speech, we will build a communication platform for young people on both sides of the strait, promote mutual understanding between young people on both sides of the strait, enhance the feelings between young people, strengthen the sense of identity of the new generation of young people in Taiwan with the history and culture of the motherland, let young people on both sides of the strait trace their roots, build the Chinese dream together, and make their own contributions to the great cause of the reunification of the motherland and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Affectionate Gucuo
In the theme activity of "Love • Ancient House", the teenagers of Fujian and Taiwan started a journey of mindu culture roots in the Shuanghang Scenic Area. The children visited the ancient home and monument "through ancient and modern" and learned about the culture of Mindu. The same bloodline and the same language have made the gene of "Fujian and Taiwan family affinity" activated again in the hearts of teenagers on both sides of the strait. Emotions of the same origin intersect and merge between teenagers.
Fengming West Lake
In the theme activity of "Fengming • West Lake", young people from both sides of the strait roamed the Millennium West Lake together and visited the Fujian Provincial Museum. Artists from both sides of the strait also presented commemorative covers and calligraphy and seal engraving works exclusive to the children. The admiration of the students at the scene was like a red rope, silently stringing together the hearts of young people on both sides of the strait, and the understanding of "the same text, the same species, the same origin, and the same culture" made everyone like brothers and sisters, hot and seamless.
Dream Building Straits
As the main event of the series of activities of "Visiting the Historical Context of Fujian and Taiwan and Seeking the Common Origin of the Two Sides of the Straits" and the "Dream Building • Strait" series of activities for young people in Fujian and Taiwan, it has also received a warm response from young people on both sides of the strait. Visiting Rouyuanyi, "Diaoyutai" and "Jilong island" are place names that are still preserved in Taiwan, connecting the common historical memory of the two sides of the strait.
In the theme activity of "Building Dreams and Straits", works such as ancient home models and hand-painted patterns jointly created by young people on both sides of the strait were also displayed, which were unanimously praised by the guests and parents attending the meeting.
The representatives of Fujian and Taiwan shared the camp and recited poems "Nostalgia" and "Taiwan is Our Treasure Island", which also expressed the intimacy of family affection and blood, and pushed the whole event to a climax.
A long scroll of "Fujian-Taiwan Teenagers Building Dreams" was painted together, and teenagers on both sides of the strait painted brilliantly with the pens in their hands to depict the prosperous motherland, and wrote the hopes of their relatives with the affection in their hearts. The young people on both sides of the strait sketch the dream of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation for a hundred years; the cheerful discussion pins on the reunion dream of the sons and daughters of China on both sides of the strait; and the innocent smile records the endless Chinese dream of the young people!
This activity not only opened up new areas and platforms for exchanges, but also built a "bridge of connecting hearts" between young people on both sides of the strait and paved the "road of friendship". Trickle into the sea, the waves are magnificent. The successful holding of the activity of "Visiting the Historical Context of Fujian and Taiwan and Seeking the Common Origins of the Two Sides of the Strait" has further strengthened the determination of young people on both sides of the strait to jointly inherit Chinese culture, continue the national spirit, and jointly write a better future for the Chinese nation.
