On Thursday (10th) night, an 18-year-old boy in Jackson Heights, Queens, was shot dead, becoming another victim of gun violence in New York City.
According to PIX11, at 6:30 p.m., police arrived at the scene after receiving a 911 call, which reported that a man was shot at his home at Jason Heights 74th Street, between 30th and 31st Avenues. When police arrived at the scene, they determined that the 18-year-old had been shot in the chest.
The teenager has been taken privately to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. As of Friday morning, police had not released the victim's name.
Police said the case was under investigation and no one had been arrested.
It is not clear how the fatal shooting occurred.
