  On April 25, the first "Fermented Food and Nutrition and Health Forum" was successfully held at the World Food (Shenzhen) Expo. The theme of this forum is "Fermented Food - The Great Health Code of Three-Body Biological Co-brewing". It is co-organized by China Food and Fermentation Industry Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as "China Food Academy") and Coelon Exhibition (Beijing) Co., Ltd. Xiao Dan, Deputy General Manager of Poly Zhongqing, Chairman of China Food Institute, and Director of the Food Quality and Safety and Social Co-governance Professional Committee of China Consumer Product Quality and Safety Promotion Association, delivered an opening speech. Professor Cheng Chi of the China Food Academy presided over the meeting. More than 200 experts from universities and institutes, food enterprise managers, technology research and development and marketing personnel gathered together to discuss the development of fermented food and nutrition and health industry.

  Xiao Dan said in his speech that fermented food, as an important part of human food culture, not only carries a profound historical heritage, but also plays an indispensable role in nutrition and health. As a technology research and development base for the food industry in mainland China, China Food Institute adheres to the concept of "innovation and development, serving the industry", and gives full play to its capabilities and advantages in the development and application of new food resources and functional ingredients, the utilization of microbial resources in the food industry, the traditional brewing engineering technology, the formulation of food standards, the transformation and industrialization of scientific research achievements, etc., to provide technical support and solutions for the development of the whole industry chain. It is hoped that through this forum, an international exhibition forum platform can be built, promote exchanges and cooperation in the fermented food industry, tap the huge potential of fermented food in the big health industry, and enhance its global market competitiveness.

  The forum invited experts and scholars from 10 universities and enterprises, including South China University of Technology, Shenzhen University, Hubei University, Zhejiang A&F University, Guangdong Academy of Sciences, Alibaba (China) Network Technology Co., Ltd., and Yanjing Health Food Innovation Research Institute, to exchange and share on topics such as the development trend of fermented food, nutrition and health, and new products, bringing a feast of knowledge and wisdom to the industry.

  The forum released the specific content and plan of the "Fermented Food into Ten Thousand Homes - Natto First Public Welfare Action" jointly initiated by the China Food Academy, the National Food and Fermentation Industry Information Center, and the Food Special Committee of the China Consumer Product Quality and Safety Promotion Association, to promote the popularization of natto-based fermented food market through R&D, innovation, marketing and other means, and further improve the public's awareness and acceptance of fermented food. Xiao Dan awarded the license to Beijing Yanjing Zhongfa Biotechnology Co., Ltd., the implementation unit of the public welfare action.

  Huang Yutong, chief expert of international cooperation of the China Food Academy and secretary-general of the Food Special Committee of the China Consumer Goods Quality and Safety Promotion Association, and other special guests presented the gold medal of the China Fermented Food Theme Pavilion of the World Food (Shenzhen) Expo to the participating winners.

  The successful holding of the first "Fermented Food and Nutrition and Health Forum" is an important measure for the China Food Institute to implement the national "Healthy China 2030 Action", which fully reflects its industry accumulation and extensive influence in the field of fermented food.

  During the period, China Food Institute and Cologne Exhibition (Beijing) Co., Ltd. also signed a strategic cooperation agreement on the "World Food (Shenzhen) Expo Theme Forum Project". The two sides will continue to hold a fermented food theme forum to further broaden the international research horizon of the China Food Academy, enhance the professionalism and influence of the World Food (Shenzhen) Expo, and inject new vitality into the healthy development of the food industry.
