Food safety is related to the growth and development of every child and their health, and is an important part of kindergarten safety education. In order to further strengthen the popularization of food safety knowledge in kindergartens and improve children's awareness of food safety, on October 9, 2023, Yunhe County Chongtou Town Center Kindergarten invited Liu Shujun, director of Chongtou Market Supervision Bureau, to give a food safety knowledge lecture for children.

During the event, Director Liu Shujun used intuitive and vivid pictures to let children have a preliminary understanding of food safety knowledge in life, and learn to correctly judge, identify and choose healthy foods.

Through explaining knowledge, quizzing and rewarding questions, sharing food safety knowledge with children, children know what food should be eaten to be safe and how to eat it healthily.

Food safety knowledge:

1. When buying food, pay attention to whether the food packaging has a manufacturer, production date, whether the shelf life has passed, whether the food raw materials and nutrients are indicated, whether there is a QS logo, and cannot buy three-nil products.

2. Open the food packaging and check whether the food is spoiled, rancid, mildew, insects, filthy, mixed with foreign matter or other abnormal sensory properties, etc., if abnormalities are found, do not eat.

3. Do not buy food from unlicensed vendors to reduce the hidden danger of food poisoning.

4. Pay attention to personal hygiene, wash your hands before meals and after using the toilet, wash and disinfect your own tableware, do not use unclean containers to hold food, and do not litter to prevent mosquitoes and flies.

5. Eat less fried and fried foods.
