However, from the perspective of market performance, the pure electric models launched by the current BBA do not seem to show the strength of the brand, and are slightly inferior in the field of electrification. BMW: BMW i7
BMW recently announced that it will officially unveil its flagship pure electric sedan, the BMW i7, at the Beijing Auto Show. Mercedes-Benz: EQS SUV
With the completion of mass production and listing of Mercedes-Benz EQS last year, the EQS SUV under the same platform will also be officially released this year, and the new car will be launched worldwide on April 19.
From the current exposure of the interior official map, Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV will adopt the same interior style as EQS, MBUX Hyperscreen interconnection system is still the most eye-catching part of the interior, in addition to the 12.3-inch OLED screen form, you can also choose the same 56-inch curved giant screen on the EQS, the interior integrates the main driving instrument, the central control screen, the co-pilot entertainment screen three screens.
Luxuriously blended with leather and solid wood, the interior is available in seven color combinations and features including rear-seat entertainment, two separate third-row seats, Dolby Atmos sound system and HEPA air filtration system.
Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV and EQS are based on EVA dedicated electric vehicle platform, the two will also share the same set of power system, equipped with front and rear dual motors, the system comprehensive power is expected to be about 385kW, using four-wheel drive and equipped with rear steering system. The new car is expected to be equipped with a 108kWh battery pack and a cruising range of about 600km.
Audi: A6 Avant e-tron
Compared with BMW and Mercedes-Benz, Audi's strategy in the field of pure electric vehicles is to explore the pure electric market from different directions, from the first pure electric SUV e-tron, to the e-tron GT high-performance coupe, and then to the A6 e-tron, Audi has achieved multi-point blossoming in multiple electrification segments.
Based on its consistent advantages over the tank car, Audi has also added a crock version of the A6 Avant e-tron concept car to the A6 e-tron concept car, which adopts a classic and futuristic station wagon shape.
The new car will be equipped with electronic rearview mirrors, and the brand LOGO on the front of the car will also have a luminous function. The tail light part also adopts a new three-dimensional structure of digital OLED tail light, which can present a 3D stereoscopic effect. In addition, an exaggerated spoiler design was added to the rear of the body, which looked quite aggressive.
In terms of power, the high-performance version of the A6 Avant e-tron concept car is equipped with a dual motor system, with a maximum output of 350 kW, a peak torque of 800 Nm, and an acceleration time of less than 4 seconds per 100 km/h. The new car will be equipped with a 100kWh battery pack and a WLTP range of up to 700 kilometers.
It is worth mentioning that the Audi A6 e-tron series is the first model based on the Audi PPE platform, the biggest highlight of the platform is the 800V high-voltage platform, and the charging speed advantage is obvious. Taking the A6 Avant e-tron as an example, the maximum charging power is 270kW, from 5% to 80%, the time is only 20 minutes, and the fast charging 10 minutes can increase the cruising range by 300km.
It is reported that the mass production version of the Audi A6 Avant e-tron concept car will be officially launched in 2024.
Judging from the above-mentioned new models, the new round layout of BBA is still quite interesting, whether it is the appearance design of the model, the introduction of innovative functions, or the performance of performance endurance, which has reached the industry-leading level. But perhaps our expectations of the three luxury giants are too high, and we always feel that the products at this stage have not yet demonstrated the strength of the BBA.
