Bentley Motors has appointed Andreas Lehe as its new board member responsible for manufacturing operations and accelerating the electrification revolution

On July 19, Bentley Motors announced the appointment of Andreas Lehe as a new board member, responsible for manufacturing operations. Lehe will take office on 1 September 2023 and will report directly to Adrian Hallmark, Chairman and CEO of Bentley Motors.

Prior to joining Bentley Motors, Lehe was Head of Strategic Planning at Audi AG, where he was responsible for Audi's manufacturing strategy, digitalization of production and logistics operations, and the continued development of the associated global production network. Lehe also held several senior positions at Audi Mexico and is known for building one of the most successful modern paint shops of the Volkswagen Group.

For Bentley, an ultra-luxury car brand in its most critical history, extensive manufacturing and commercial experience is essential. Lehe will work closely with Bentley Motors Manufacturing to continue to build Bentley Motors' 'Dream Factory', a world-leading digital, low-impact manufacturing facility.

Commenting on his new assignment, Lehe said: "Joining Bentley is an exciting new chapter in my career. The team achieved true organizational change and pioneered the most forward-thinking business strategy in the ultra-luxury automotive segment. I look forward to working with my colleagues to continue Bentley's success on the path of pure electrification." Lehe will succeed Peter Borsh, who joined CARIAD as CEO in June 2023.
