I have to say that the designers of the two car companies have indeed come together aesthetically this time. Judging from the time node of the release of the two cars, the difference is only less than 4 months (Xiaopeng G9 was released in November 2021), so there is no so-called "reference".
Aside from the appearance of some "face-bumping", the other stylistic and technical features of the two new cars are not similar.
The ideal L9 is positioned as a large range extender hybrid SUV with a body length of 5200mm, and still focuses on "daddy, home high-end SUV". The interior of the new car canceled the dashboard for the first time, adopting a 5-screen linkage design, equipped with 21 horns, a power of 2160W, 7 horns surrounded by the whole car, 3 bass matrix, and 4 sky surrounds.
In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a 1.5T four-cylinder range extender, using dual-motor direct drive from the Great Wall Honeycomb power front and rear, and equipped with a battery pack with a capacity of 44.5kWh and a 65L fuel tank, and the CRUIC will reach 1200 kilometers under CLTC conditions. The new car is expected to be priced between 450,000 and 500,000 yuan.
The Xiaopeng G9 will continue to focus on the technical route, the new car is based on the same Edward platform as the P7, positioning medium and large SUVs, and the wheelbase will exceed 3000mm. For the first time, the new car is equipped with the X-EEA 3.0 electrical and electronic architecture, the XPower 3.0 power system and the XPILOT 4.0 system. It is expected to be pre-sold in April this year, and the starting price may be around 350,000 yuan.
