It is often seen in life or on the Internet that some parents are tormented by their children's "homework procrastination", and even some parents with high education have no way to do anything about it. I have seen many parents crying more than once by their children's procrastination, and even some parents have been hospitalized with anger. In fact, as a teacher, I have also been tortured by my own children more than once, more than a year. Every time I think back, I admire my good health and don't go crazy because of it. Fortunately, in the past year, I have used some methods and also played a certain role, otherwise it is estimated that I am not far from hospitalization, and now I will share some of my own methods with you, hoping to play a certain role in helping everyone.

01

Prepare the write job environment

Many people think that writing homework is not to let children write in their own room or study? Do you also need to prepare a special room? I don't mean this, the child can write homework anywhere, the key is that the child's homework desktop must be organized. The desk must be clean, not only no dust, anything unrelated to the homework can not appear, do not put a lot of things on the child's desk, what tangram, tape, good-looking eraser, a set of rulers, etc.; these should not be placed on the learning table, the desktop in addition to leaving homework and nothing else, as long as the child's hand can go to the place and put nothing. This is important because many children like to touch things with their hands when writing homework, and "homework procrastination" begins. Every day, before the child writes homework, the homework environment is arranged in advance, which is the initial stage of treatment of procrastination.

02

Timing method

This method has been used by many parents, but it is used too singlely, and it may have some effect at the beginning, but it is not ideal later. Here I will briefly describe my own method. The timing method I use is a combination of multiple timings, and I have used the time limiting method when my children write homework, that is, how much time to complete how many tasks. There is also a countdown method that uses an alarm clock or other tools to count down, so that children can see the countdown to complete the homework task better and faster. I also use hourglass timing, which is to place an hourglass while your child is doing homework, so that the child can watch the passage of time, so as to supervise the rapid completion of the homework. These two methods can be used interchangeably, or you can change tools after a period of time, change a different kind of hourglass, etc. Parents know that as long as they buy a new cup for their children, then the child will like to drink water for several days, without any supervision, the reason is actually the same.

The law of competition

It's also easy, find what you have to do, use this thing to compete with your child's homework, and see who can complete the task faster. As long as there is a game, the child will complete any task much faster than usual. I often compete with laundry and children's homework, and the results are still good. Of course, as a parent, you must learn to control the outcome of the game, do not let the child always win, and do not let the child lose too far. Proper grasp, let the child win is not very easy, but can experience the joy of winning. Let the child lose once in a while, and the next time will be better to play.

04

Reward Law

The reward method I am talking about here is not to negotiate good conditions with children, complete homework on time to buy toys for children, buy stationery or whatever, and cannot promise to complete homework on time and play with mobile phones. Some parents feel that the effect of using mobile phones to motivate children to write homework is excellent, I can clearly tell you here, so that the result is just drinking and quenching thirst, and eventually it will harm children in the near future, and once the mobile phone becomes addicted, as a parent, you can't control your child. I've seen too many students who are dominated by their phones and whose grades have plummeted because of the deterioration of their parents' relationship. The reward method I am talking about here refers to the fact that the child can make an agreement with the child to play games when completing homework on time, or accompany the child out to play badminton or other sports. In the common sports with the child, cultivate the child's love of sports habits, which will be of great help to him in the future life.

These are some of the methods I use in my life, and my child's speed of completing homework is now higher than before. I would like to tell you that tutoring children's homework is a big project that requires patience, and you must be patient to find good methods and pay attention to flexible use.
