【2021 Annual German Car Sales Inventory】In addition to the increase in sales of individual models, the sales of German cars in 2021 can be described as a decline across the board. According to the statistics compiled by the editors of the car purchase network, the wholesale sales of the German car market in 2021 were 2.6149 million units, a decrease of 393,800 units compared with 2020, down 13.1% year-on-year.
According to the data, the top three German cars in 2021 are still from Volkswagen's Langyi, Bora and Sagitar, with sales of 391355, 246528 and 235607 respectively, down 6.2%, 24.5% and 21.4% year-on-year, respectively.
Sales of other Volkswagen brands also declined, with Santana sales down 21.8 percent year-on-year, Magotans down 16.8 percent, Passat sales down 11.0 percent, golf sales down 27.3 percent, Lingdu down 15.6 percent and polo sales down 12.2 percent.
Among luxury brands, BMW sedan sales are relatively outstanding, BMW 3 series and 5 series sales have a year-on-year increase of about 10%, its sales of 173,000 and 149153 vehicles (excluding new energy versions).
However, the sales of the two major brands of Audi and Mercedes-Benz have declined, of which the Annual Sales of the Audi A6L 150054 units, down 13.4% year-on-year; the Sales of the Audi A4L 130263 units, down 0.5% year-on-year; and the Sales of the Audi A3 of 60,281 units, down 21.6% year-on-year.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class sales were 134632 units, down 10.2% year-on-year; Mercedes-Benz C-Class sales 126021 units, down 17.3% year-on-year; Mercedes-Benz A-Class sales of 57,370 units, down 15.7% year-on-year.
Sales of Skoda brand cars have declined across the board, and the best-selling Octavia has only sold 13,230 units in the whole year, down 50.5% year-on-year, and it seems that Octavia Pro cannot save Skoda. Skoda Xinrui sold 10,150 vehicles in the whole year, down 66.3% year-on-year.
The cumulative sales of Skoda Supai were as low as 2129 units, down 74.4% year-on-year. Skoda's four sedans sold only 25,770 units in the whole year, and even less than 50% of the sales of the FAW-Volkswagen Jetta VA3 model. FAW-Volkswagen Jetta VA3 sold 54,763 units in the whole year, an increase of 29.2% year-on-year.
