Teachers' initial growth

(Recorded in 2010)

One afternoon, I was lying in bed, casually changing the channel of the TV set, and inadvertently dialed the "Art Life" interview program. This issue is "Xu Fan Ten Years", I suddenly thought that I have been working since I joined the work for a full decade, and I should also summarize it well, so I opened the computer and tapped the keyboard.

The first elementary school to work

After graduating from the normal school in June 2000, he was assigned to work in a primary school less than 3 miles away from home, but in fact, this was also the school where he had originally interned, familiar teachers and familiar students. In the same year, I applied for the correspondence specialty.

On the first day of registration, I was called to the principal's office by the old principal, saying that the young man had just graduated, young and energetic, and was obedient, saying that he wanted me to teach a fifth grade. I was also stupid and felt that I should obey the school assignment, so I took over the class. Later, I learned that this class was a particularly chaotic class, because this class had changed teachers many times, and most of them were still internships.

The first time I walked into the classroom, I was hit by a head of cold water. Before I entered the door, I heard the noise of chaos in the classroom, and when I arrived at the classroom, it was a mess, and a chubby child sitting at the front of the teacher entered my sight, he stuttered a little, but the most joyful, so I was like taking him first to "open the knife", kill their sharpness, and give them a "dismount".

I asked him to go outside, as if he hadn't heard, he ignored me, and now I was in a hurry, so I walked quickly to him and scolded him sternly, and he was indifferent, so I went to pull his arm to try to drag him out of the classroom, this little fat man was really heavy, I took a lot of effort to drag him outside. What I was thinking was that this was my first day at work, the first day I walked into the classroom, the first time I met them, and I had to get off to a good start, so I wanted to give them a harsh impression. Because I've heard many old teachers say that the first impression a teacher gives to a student is important.

It was in this situation that I began my work. At first, I couldn't get a clue at all, going to work every day was simply suffering, just going to work and looking forward to leaving work, and then A little bit of adaptation, getting used to it, I really took it as work. During that time, every night before going to bed, I always had to go through the "movie" of what happened in today's class in my mind, from the child's point of view, put myself in the shoes of myself and consider if I made a mistake myself, hoping that the teacher would deal with me, I would be convinced and would correct this mistake. In the process of gradual exploration, I gradually realized that if a class wants to do well in learning, good discipline is the foundation and guarantee. Later, I felt that so many students were too small to rely on my strength alone, so I fully mobilized the role of class cadres and students, discussed with them to formulate a strict class discipline and health system, and drew a quantitative form on the back blackboard to summarize every Monday. I also mobilized cadres to establish a supervision mechanism.

In order to encourage the enthusiasm and influence of the class cadres, I fully determined the status of the class cadres in front of all the students, and I stressed that the words of the class cadres are my words, and if the class cadres do not do it correctly, they can be reflected to me; if the class cadres are wrong, I will call them to the office, point out their shortcomings alone, and never criticize them in front of all the students, thus maintaining their self-esteem.

In terms of learning, every morning in mathematics, in the afternoon, the first class of Chinese, I have to dictate to check the mastery of the knowledge of the previous lesson, so that later they have developed the habit of consciously reviewing the old knowledge. I insisted on coming early and leaving late every day, coming early to set an example for the students, hoping that they could also come to school early and study in the morning; late walking was for those students who were slightly worse at studying, when the old principal often went to the classroom to urge me, saying: "Hurry up and finish school, it's almost dark!" ”

"Kung Fu doesn't live up to some people." "As long as you pay, there will be a return!" Through a year of hard work, the discipline of my class has been greatly improved, thrown to the "chaotic" hat, the academic performance has the original penultimate half ahead, jumped to the middle of the town. Later, in the final examination of the sixth grade, he achieved a good result of sixth place.

In the third year, I took another sixth grade, and I did well too. At that time, the best and first reward I received was the "excellent teacher" at the town level.

In September 2003, the fourth year of work, I don't know whether it was because of the merger or the change of principal, or the reason for my excellent teaching performance, I was finally transferred to the central school that I dreamed of at that time. When I got to the central school, because one school was withdrawn, the students were merged into the central school, and the sixth grade was divided into three classes, and I served as the head teacher of the third class of the sixth grade. The students in this class are from two schools and three classes merged, unlike the other two classes, which are basically the students of the original class, most of them are poor students, the discipline situation is different, and it is difficult to integrate into the new class group for a while. But thanks to my efforts, this class of students still graduated smoothly.
