In order to reflect the benchmark position of J7 heavy truck in the domestic heavy truck market, FAW Jiefang also selected manufacturers with many years of experience in the production of famous foreign model brands for OEM when bidding for production models, so as to ensure that the workmanship and quality of the J7 model can lead all competitors. In this article, the author compares the real car and the model of J7 to confirm whether the real car of J7 heavy truck can really serve as the title of "benchmark"; and discusses the quality of the model, whether it can really show competitors a new level of workmanship and quality.

At the time of release, J7 Heavy Truck showed 7 models with different configurations and different colors to target users around the world, and the 7 colors of the paint were also completely retained on the model in subsequent model versions. In this article, the author selected the "coffee gold" version of the model, of course, the silver gray of the J7 heavy truck in this article also has a model of the same color, but the color model is not the protagonist of this article.

The appearance of the J7 is very different compared to the J6, the more vertical A-pillar, in exchange for a larger cab front space, while the upgrade of the cab behind the flat floor, can improve the total volume of internal space, more convenient for drivers and passengers to move freely in the car. The exterior design is also more radical than that of the J6, producing a momentum that is not angry.

The J7 model retains the non-arrogant momentum of the real car in its entirety, and even when placed together with the model of the competitor, it can still make people recognize its domineering appearance at a glance. However, due to the fact that there are more moving parts and independent parts, the gap control of some structures of the J7 model is not good, such as the gap in the front cover, the gap between the door and the front bumper are large, relatively speaking, it is a bit affecting the appearance.

At the same time, the J7 model does not restore the side pulling of the real car in this article, and the side is less decorated than the real car, and there is a certain emptiness. However, considering that more real cars do not have side pulling flowers, it is also reasonable for the model to restore according to the real appearance of the real car.

Considering the price and positioning of the J7 tractor, it is directed to the domestic high-end cargo transportation and long-distance trunk line transportation conditions, so the side deflector cover of the original factory is indispensable. The large deflector cover on the real car can better cover the gap between the cab and the trailer, ensuring that the air flow is smoothly guided to the trailer area. A light is installed on the gantry of the trailer electrical wiring to facilitate the driver and passenger to connect the trailer in poor light.

The above details are also fully reflected in the model. The deflector on the model is also large, and the support structure of the cab body has been completely preserved, and the materials of these structures are good and not easy to damage. Screws are used between the main body of the deflector and the cab, and some players can disassemble them for modification if they are personally willing.

The gantry structure of the trailer electrical line has also been completely restored, and the lighting on the top has also been restored using transparent plastic parts, which is very effective. At the same time, the gantry on the model is inserted into the girder by punching the structure, which ensures the quality of the structure and is not easy to damage.

The headlights are the "eyes" of a truck, and the colorful headlights can produce a "finishing touch" effect on the design of the entire truck. J7's headlights are in line with J6 in appearance, but they are not completely restored, and the detailed design and structure in the lamp cavity are more advanced than those of J6, suitable for vehicles to fly on roads with relatively general light. The hollow diversion structure on the side of the headlights can guide the air to the side and ensure that the surface of the side of the vehicle is clean.

Model on the car

The details of the lamp are more exquisite, and the details on the headlights of the real car are well restored, but the details of the reflective bowl and LED structure in the lamp cavity still need to be strengthened. At the same time, the hollow diversion details on the side of the headlights have not been restored, which is some regret.

Interior

Since positioned in high-end logistics conditions, the interior design of the J7 must reach a leading position, and it has indeed done so, and the design details and workmanship on the center console and steering wheel can reach the level of passenger cars with similar prices.

The model completely restores all the structural details of the J7 interior, but unfortunately, all the structures are not painted in color separation, resulting in a meticulous but insufficiently delicate effect.

The top of the cab was decorated with a patterned lining, and the sunroof structure was also decorated with the same glass sunroof + sun blinds for passenger cars.

A similar sunroof structural design was retained on the model, but the material of the skylight was replaced from glass to transparent plastic that was more suitable for the model, and even a sliding visor was retained.

chassis

The materials and details of the chassis are the points that the intended customers are more concerned about, and J7 will also try to do these details well.

The model and the real car have a certain structural difference, the main reason is that the model reference to restore the real car version, may not be consistent with all the real cars, exhibition cars.

The left side of the demonstration vehicle is equipped with an aluminum alloy fuel tank with a volume of up to 800 liters, and the boarding pedal is also installed through the concave design of the fuel tank, which is convenient for the driver and passengers to go to the chassis at the rear of the cab for pre-transportation preparation.

On the left side of the model, a relatively small fuel tank structure is installed, the reference to the real car, the fuel tank volume should be about 500 liters, the front of the tank is installed with a battery box and a gas tank structure, the gas tank structure does not seem to be sprayed with silver paint, to express the status of the aluminum alloy material on the real car.

On the right side of the chassis, there are more spare parts structures for the real car, the front is the aftertreatment system that meets the emission regulations of China VI, the middle is the air-flooded urea system unique to Xichai, and finally the auxiliary fuel tank with a volume of 300 liters.

On the model, the chassis configuration of the National V period is retained, the front of the post-treatment system is smaller in size, the position of the air-driven urea system is relatively forward, and it is covered and protected by the climbing ladder. The rear is also a 500-liter fuel tank with a consistent volume.

The tail lights of the real car, with the famous German Hella headlights, are consistent with the potential imported car competitors, which makes some people in the industry have a certain admiration. The bottom of the fender has a soft plastic extension to better cover the lower half of the tire and avoid splashing mud and water.

The tail lights on the model only use the design of the liberation factory, the design of the long strip, and the lights are clearly divided according to the function. The lower part of the fender is not extended downwards, and the visual effect is not too good.

Due to the installation of the chassis accessory, the J7 integrates the battery box into a large number of ends, and the top of the battery box is also stamped with the logos of "Liberation" and "FAW", showing the independence of liberation accessories.

The battery box on the model is mounted on the side of the girder, so there is no structure installed in the rear of the girder, which is a bit empty.

The rear axle is fixed to the girder with a V-shaped pusher, which ensures the two-way stability of the axle. However, the integration of the wiring harness arrangement here still needs to be strengthened.

The harness structure was not restored on the model, but the V-shaped stabilized pushrod of the axle was still retained, and alloy materials were used and mounted to the girder. Some of the competitors have structures here for decorative purposes only, using plastic materials and being useless except for visual display.

The front axle of the real car uses the liberated F7N front axle, equipped with a disc brake device, which increases the strength of the brake, ensures safety, and is equipped with a Kangmai wheel end, and some clues can be seen from the cover of the wheel end.

The structure of the Kangmai wheel end on the model is more meticulous, but the color separation operation on the details is not done, and the external structure of the disc brake device on the shaft head is also clearer.

The rear axle uses a 465 single-stage punched bridge, and the lower speed ratio makes it easier for the vehicle to achieve higher speeds and lower fuel consumption.

The details of the rear axle head on the model are generally restored, the shaft head is only black color separation on the cover, and the structure of the rear end should be formed with the wheel hub, and the color separation is not done.
