#Haikou Headline# Shixia Village is located under the Shixia Ridge, also known as Partridge Ridge in history, the local people call it HaigongLing, the back of the ridge is Ding'an Fuwen Town, Hairui's mother Xie Ancestral Village.

In the sixteenth year of Ming Hongwu (1383), Hai Rui's great-grandfather Hai Da'er was stationed with the army from Pengbian in Guangzhou at zuoshou in Qiongzhou Province, and later bought land and settled in Shixia Village, Shijiaxia, which belonged to Tunchang County at that time, and was buried under the lingxia after his death.

Hai Rui's grandfather, Hai Kuan, served as the commander of Songxi County in Fujian Province after he left the government, and after resigning from the government, he inherited the ancestral business, returned to Shixia Village to farm and raise ducks, and cultivated his children and grandchildren in the spirit of cultivating and reading heirlooms. Of his five sons, the eldest son Hai Cheng (海澄) was a 1457 scholar who entered the soil and was an official in Sichuan Province, and the second son, Hai Lan, the old four seas, Peng, and wu hai mai.

Although the elder Sanhaihan (Hai Rui's father) was only a gongsheng and died young, his four-year-old only son, Hai Rui, after his grandfather moved his family to Jinhua Village outside the west gate of Qiongshan Province, under the strict teaching of his mother Xie Shi and his private school Mr. Chengnan Jinshi Wuhui, Chengdong Jinshi Tang Ji and his brother-in-law Jinshi Zheng Tinghong, he eventually served as a teacher in Nanping, Fujian Province. From the age of 40, to the 56-year-old dismissal of the official to return to his hometown, and the 72-year-old to the Nanjing Inspectorate right yushi re-emerged from the mountain, although he was an official for more than ten years, but with the courage to scold the emperor, the heart of the people, and the incorruptibility and integrity of the character, became the South China Sea blue sky, across the historical sky of the Ming Dynasty, shining in the world for five hundred years, to this day, still vivid.
