At about 9 a.m. on January 5, Ms. Li, who lives in Qingshan District, Wuhan City, called a Jimu news reporter and said that her daughter Yingying (pseudonym) was traveling in the Yandang Mountain Scenic Area during New Year's Day, but had disappeared since the evening of January 2, and her family was very anxious.
At 10 a.m., a reporter from Jimu News rushed to Ms. Li's home, where she told the reporter about the incident. Before the New Year's Day, Yingying told her mother that she would travel alone to Yandang Mountain in Yueqing, Zhejiang Province, during the New Year's Day holiday, and agreed with her mother that she would return to Han on January 3.
On January 2, Ms. Li also maintained close contact with her daughter on WeChat, but at 7:17 that night, he sent a message to her daughter asking for the specific time to go home for dinner, so as to prepare meals for her, but the daughter only replied with a "tomorrow back", after which there was no message.
Ms. Li said that she did become suspicious that night, but thought that her daughter might be too tired to rest, so she did not care. All day on January 3, Ms. Li tried to contact her daughter, but Yingying still did not hear from her. Until about 7 o'clock that night, seeing yingying still not replying, the anxious Ms. Li hurriedly called the police, and informed the police of Yingying's clothing characteristics when she left home and provided a photo of Yingying herself.
On the morning of January 4, Ms. Li, who had been waiting for a fruitless night, was even more anxious, and at the same time, the Wuhan police also contacted the police in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, and asked local forces to help find people. The Yandang Mountain police station found through inquiry and monitoring that Yingying did not go out of the mountainous area, so she urgently contacted the local rescue force and immediately launched a search.
Local rescue workers told reporters that after receiving this police information, the local quickly set up a rescue team composed of dozens of people, including police, emergency rescue teams, scenic grid members, etc., and entered Yandang Mountain to carry out a search, but the search was still fruitless until 2 a.m. the next day.
On the morning of January 5, the rescue team once again went into the mountain to search. At about 10:30 a.m., while they were searching for words, they suddenly heard a female voice in the valley responding to them. Rescuers approached and confirmed that the woman was Yingying, who had been missing for two days and three nights.
According to local rescue workers, Yingying got lost in the mountains on the night of January 2, couldn't see clearly because of the darkness, and fell into the valley with a height difference of about 10 meters. "Yingying fell backwards, the backpack landed on the ground first, and the pad underneath saved her life." Rescuers said that after they found Yingying, she was conscious, but there were obvious signs of injuries on her body and she could no longer stand and walk.
On the evening of January 5, a reporter from Jimu News contacted Yingying, who was being treated in the hospital. Recalling the past two days and three nights, Yingying still has palpitations. "After I got lost in the mountains, the soles of my feet slipped and fell off the cliff, and I fell unconscious on the spot, and didn't wake up until the next morning." Yingying said that at that time, her mobile phone had disappeared and had been adjusted to silent mode.
Yingying told reporters that at about 7 p.m. on January 2, she was going down the mountain, because it was dark, coupled with poor vision, she followed the directions of passers-by to prepare to go down the mountain as soon as possible, and as a result, she lost her way and accidentally fell down the mountain. Yingying said she found herself unable to walk and could only lie down, so she could not get up and look for her mobile phone. In order to try to communicate with the outside world, she found a bamboo stick at her hand, made a sound by tapping the stone, tried to transmit a distress signal to the surroundings, and she would intermittently call for help.
Talking about the experience of these two days and three nights, Yingying said that before going up the mountain, she brought some food, and these two days and three nights relied on these foods to fill her hunger. "I turned over the clothes and socks in my bag and put them on my body to keep out the cold." Yingying said, "But there is no extra mineral water, my mouth is very dry, and I survived like this." ”
Subsequently, Yingying was carried on a stretcher by rescue workers and immediately sent to the Fifth People's Hospital of Yueqing City for treatment.
When she learned that her daughter was found, Ms. Li called the local rescue personnel for the first time to thank her: "I haven't been able to find my daughter for so long, I feel that there is no hope, thanks to your rescue, it is too powerful!" ”
Ms. Li said that she was very touched, through the message sent back by her son-in-law, learned that the rescue workers did not drink a sip of water during the search and rescue process, insisted on helping them find someone, "Thank you for giving me confidence, they warmed our family, saved our lives." Yingying's father and brother-in-law flew to the scene of the incident on January 4 and followed the search together. His brother-in-law, Mr. Chen, told jimu news reporters that after the hospital examination, Yingying's pelvic bones, legs, feet and other fractures throughout the body were fractured, fortunately, the head was not a major problem, and her consciousness was very clear at present.
