On the evening of April 28, FAW Toyota bZ4X officially opened pre-sale, a total of 5 models, the pre-sale range of 220,000-300,000 yuan. As the first pure electric vehicle under the e-TNGA architecture, the car is also the first mass production model in the Toyota bZ series electric camp. The bZ4X is positioned as a mid-size SUV and is expected to go on sale in June this year.
The bZ4X is based on the exclusive platform of pure electric BEV based on e-TNGA, with low center of gravity, high rigidity and carefully tuned suspension system. Among them, the "bZ" of the TOYOTA bZ pure electric series means "beyond Zero", that is, "beyond zero emissions". The number "4" represents the body size, similar to volkswagen ID.3 and ID.4, so it can be seen that the model released this time belongs to the medium size (C-High), and the last letter "X" represents the SUV.
In terms of appearance, the overall design style continues the TNGA design elements, using the theme of Hi-Tech and Emotion, and the front face reflects the uniqueness of the BEV by embedding the two sides of the front face of the aerodynamic components and the slender bumper. The hood is integrated with the headlights to form a three-dimensional sculptural hammerhead shark front face design, the lines are angular, and some of the curves are similar to Lexus.
In terms of body size, the new car has a length, width and height of 4690/1860/1650mm, and a wheelbase of 2850mm, achieving a higher axle length ratio. The wheelbase of GAC Toyota's new fourth-generation Highlander is the same, slightly shorter than the NIO ES6; among the joint venture brand class, the size is between the Volkswagen ID.4 and ID.6, slightly larger than the Dongfeng Honda e:NS1 and GAC Honda e:NP1.
In the rear part, the bZ4X adopts a slipback design, the C-pillar has a large inclination angle, and adopts a multi-place contrast design, the sense of technology and muscle coexist, and the spoiler movement above the through-type taillights is very strong.
In terms of interior, FAW Toyota bZ4X hovering design 12.3-inch central control screen, built-in Baidu map, online audio and some car networking functions. The central control panel in the control area is designed to follow Toyota's practical tradition and is equipped with a wireless charging cradle for mobile phones.
In terms of safety, bZ4X is equipped with a new "TOYOTASafetySense Smart Travel Safety Assistance Kit", which combines many intelligent driving assistance functions to create an all-round protection for users in scenarios such as congestion, smooth driving, getting on and off the bus. In terms of body structure, the bZ4X adopts a comprehensive collision response structure, which can protect the occupants, battery safety and the opposing vehicle. In terms of battery safety, bZ4X strengthens the "prevention" of battery failures and "timely detection when there are signs of failure", bringing safety through multiple monitoring systems.
In terms of power, bZ4X provides two versions of front-drive and four-wheel drive, the front-drive version of the front motor maximum power of 150kW, the maximum torque of 266N·m, CLTC working conditions of 615km, the four-wheel drive version of the front and rear motor maximum power is 80kW, the total power of 160kW, the total torque of 337N·m, the battery pack capacity of both versions is 72.8kWh.
In the bZ4X car, who can say that pure electric vehicles are not driving pleasure? The four-wheel drive system is jointly developed with Subaru, with X-MODE four-wheel drive off-road auxiliary mode, and is equipped with the newly developed Grip-Control intelligent creep mode, which is remarkable in terms of road dynamics and stability in rain and snow weather; bZ4X also has the optional high-efficiency solar charging dome, which can increase the cruising range by about 1750km per year by absorbing solar energy conversion power. At the same time, the bZ4X is equipped with an external charging function and can be used as a power source outdoors or in emergency situations.
The pre-sale price starts at 220,000 yuan, and a series of policies after the launch of Toyota bZ4X are more in line with the Wei Xiaoli brand and build brand loyalty with high-quality services. Among them, EV life cycle worry-free service, while providing 10 years 200,000 km free maintenance and battery services.
In line with Toyota Motor's electrification strategy, Toyota plans to increase its global annual sales of BEVs from 2 million to 3.5 million units in 2030, and in the same year, Lexus will achieve 100% beev model sales in China, North America, and Europe, with global sales of 1 million vehicles; Toyota motor is expected to introduce 30 BEV models by 2030 and 100% of BEV models worldwide by 2035.
