Prevention in advance is important
At present, some parents have insufficient understanding of the baby's allergy symptoms, the causes of allergies and how to prevent allergies. After noticing the lack of scientific awareness among parents in the field of anti-allergy knowledge, Cui Yutao Parenting Center launched the "2022 Infant Anti-Allergy Cognition Survey" through the survey of 2073 bao moms. Partially hydrolyzed formula prevents "small sensitivity"
In daily feeding, the most easily ignored by parents is the baby's food allergy problem. Among them, the macromolecular milk protein in milk is one of the important triggers for baby food allergies. According to the "2022 Infant Anti-Allergy Cognitive Survey", nearly 90% of mothers add formula milk before the baby's 6 months of age due to insufficient breast milk, but 86% choose ordinary formula powder, and only 3.8% choose partially hydrolyzed formula; in premature babies, caesarean section and other high-risk babies, there are not many who add partial hydrolyzed formula powder.
In this regard, Cui Yutao suggested that if the baby really needs to add formula powder within 6 months of age, it is recommended to start by adding partial hydrolyzed formula powder. Premature babies should use preterm special needs milk powder in the early stages, and priority can be given to partial hydrolyzed formula milk powder when transferring milk, giving the gastrointestinal tract more time to adapt.
Hydrolyzed milk powder is based on ordinary milk powder, using the hydrolysis process to cut the complete large molecule milk protein into small molecule protein, so that the baby's still weak intestine is easier to absorb, can reduce the risk of baby allergies from the source.
After the survey, it was found that the proportion of parents who believe that allergies can be prevented by giving their babies partial hydrolyzed formula is as high as 73%, but there is a huge gap between parents' cognition and practical operation.
