Among them, the price of the E-class long axis increased by 4900-6600 yuan, and the price of the GLC long axis version increased by 5600-5700 yuan. In addition, S-class and GLS and other highest increases, up to tens of thousands of yuan. Some CLA models rose at the lowest by only 3,000 yuan.
The notice also gave two reasons for price increases, one is the sharp rise in raw material prices, and the other is the shortage of global supply chains, which is simply understood to mean that spare parts not only increase prices, but also shortages.

This is mainly due to domestic reasons, the recent epidemics in Shanghai and Jilin are very serious, and these two places are important bases for automobile production. Shanghai is mainly SAIC's plant, and at present, some of SAIC Volkswagen's plants have been discontinued, and SAIC-GM's factories producing Chevrolet and Cadillac have also been affected to a certain extent.
Jilin is mainly a faw-affiliated factory, not only FAW's headquarters in Changchun, Hongqi, Besturn, as well as the joint venture brand Volkswagen, Audi, Toyota and so on have factories in Changchun. Previously, FAW decided to stop production of all five major vehicle plants under its umbrella, and although its plants have resumed, normal production is still affected by the epidemic.

We can also see this phenomenon in this wave of tram price increases, the official price increases are basically new force car companies, because they do not have 4S stores, they are directly operated, the official price is basically to raise the price of the car, so the price increase can only be officially announced. However, the electric vehicles of traditional car companies, the official price increase is relatively small, because in the 4S shop system, less than a few thousand discounts, it is equivalent to a price increase.
