Keywords: Peking University spirit

In the big hit drama "The World" broadcast by CCTV, Peking University surprised the "cameo" in an unexpected and reasonable way. Zhou Bingyi, the eldest son of the Zhou family, and Zhou Rong, the second daughter, were both admitted to Peking University after resuming the college entrance examination.

In the play, there are also many scenes that reflect the campus life of Peking University in the early 1980s.

For the growth of the characters in the play, the emergence of Peking University is reasonable - Peking University has made irreplaceable contributions to the revitalization and liberation of the nation, the construction and development of the country, and the civilization and progress of society, and has played an important pioneering role in the process of China's modernization.

Dear friends of Peking University, Chairman Mao has said three famous words about the Long March: "The Long March is a manifesto, the Long March is a propaganda team, and the Long March is a seeding machine." Judging from the history of Peking University, since the "New Youth" settled in Peking University, the good articles published on it have the attributes of a declaration of the new cultural movement. At that time, many northerly students enthusiastically and consciously played the role of the propagandists of the new cultural movement.

Many of the students who came out of Peking University had the spirit of taking responsibility for the times and the style of the new youth of the Chinese nation, and had an important impact on the new cultural movement and the later May Fourth Movement and the New Democratic Movement. In the 1980s and the era of China's reform and opening up, many teachers and students of Peking University enthusiastically and consciously exerted the light and heat of their thoughts. Everything is difficult at the beginning, and reform is difficult in the middle of the difficulty. Correcting the chaos and putting thinking first, Peking University has inherited its own spiritual tradition at this point.

I think that this doctrine and that doctrine should be patriotic for Chinese intellectuals. The people take food as the heaven, and the people take the country as the earth. If someone is not patriotic, no matter how much he prides himself on loving the people, he always finds suspicious here. As long as they have patriotic feelings, their thoughts, propositions, spirit and ability will certainly serve the people to the greatest extent, promote the gradual change of the times, and at the same time benefit their own progress with the times.

Therefore, if you ask me about my understanding of the spirit of Peking University, then my answer is: From the period of the New Culture Movement, to the May Fourth period, to the period of New Democracy, to the period of reform and opening up, to the present, the one-step interpretation of the spirit of Peking University and the interpretation of extracting the core are actually patriotic feelings and the spirit of responsibility for rejuvenating China. Without the existence of this core, the spirit of freedom, the independent thought, has no foundation for it. With all due respect, if the people of Peking University are not patriotic, they will not only bear the burden of holiness and pioneers, but also bear the burden of all the people.

As for the Zhou family brothers and sisters in the novel "The World of Man", they are also students of Peking University in the 1980s. My original intention in creation, of course, is to make them have a new spiritual outlook of young intellectuals during China's reform and opening up. In the original work, the Zhou family brothers and sisters and Hao Dongmei are together, and the topics discussed and thoughts are related to the difficulties of reform and the future of the country, but my level is limited and my strength is difficult.

I don't have anything to say to Peking University, and Peking University people don't need me to say anything at all. But I also have friends at Peking University, limited to Chinese departments, such as Mr. Xie Mian and Mr. Chen Pingyuan, Chen Xiaoming, Zhang Yiwu, and Professor Cao Wenxuan. Universities will always be the cradle of new people in the country, and the entity of cultural, scientific and technological, and artistic exchanges between countries. How these two points of knowledge and feelings can complement each other in pedagogy and unite knowledge and action is what I feel confused and powerless in my teaching career. How I hope that the gentlemen who are still in the teaching position can sum up the good experience!

Li Lu talked about creative experience

The Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of Peking University conducted an exclusive interview with Li Lu, the director and chief producer of the TV series "The World of Man". In recent years, director Li Lu has directed several well-known TV drama works such as "In the Name of the People", "Circuit Prosecutor Group" and "The World".

Behind the "big hit" is the seriousness and hard work of director Li Lu when filming, and it is inseparable from his courageous spirit of pioneering and innovating. In the selection of topics, Director Li never goes with the flow, but closely follows the thoughts of the people and strives to create new works that fit the times. At the same time, "true feelings" is the standard of "good drama" in his eyes: "Good dramas cross ages and will resonate with everyone at different levels, mainly relying on the sense of truth." "Novelty and sincerity have become the secret of these works to "fire out of the circle".

In the play, the Zhou family brothers and sisters are students of Peking University; in reality, Mr. Li Lu, the director and chief producer of "In the World", has also studied at Peking University. He sent a message to Peking University students to "make outstanding achievements during the study period and in future work, and win glory for the school and the country."

River

Has the power to pluck the heartstrings

From "Light Character Film" to Peking University - find you in "The World of Man"!

The drama "The World of Man" takes the trajectory and fate of three generations of ordinary workers in Northeast China, Zhou Zhigang's family, as a clue, and strings together the great changes in Chinese society and the ups and downs of people's lives in the 50 years from the 1970s to the present. From the "light character film" in the civilian area of a city in the north to the south of the sea, the mountains and the countryside, reform and opening up, the vicissitudes and social transformation of the past half century have slowly spread through this "epic" full of life texture, pain and joy, frustration and pursuit, reality and love, the individual and the times are intertwined, unconsciously, the audience and the characters have achieved resonance, and the drama has also become a phenomenon-level work on the screen in the praise of the tide.

The popularity of the play "The World of Man" has many inherent inevitability. Zhang Yiwu, a professor at Peking University's Department of Chinese, attributed the cross-generational attention caused by this play to a certain "familiarity" and "strangeness".

"First of all, a generation with similar age and the same growth background as the characters in the work will like to watch because of the closeness of the background, the authenticity of the details and many other factors. The younger generation, especially the 'post-90s' and Z generations, are relatively unfamiliar with the story of Zhiqing, and the life and encounters of the Zhiqing generation are far away from them. It is this strangeness and diaphragm that gives them an inquisitive curiosity, and may read about the lives of their parents, even grandfathers, in their works. ”

As a work that tells the story of the "post-50s", "Human World" has successfully made the audience from the "post-50s" to the "post-90s" chase after it. This work focuses on the writer Liang Xiaosheng's consistent concern for the fate of Zhiqing, it is a "long river novel", written from the years of Zhiqing to the reform and opening up; it is also a summative work of the writer himself. There is nothing shocking about "The World of Man", but the twists and turns, the ups and downs of the story, and the realistic details have the power to stir the heartstrings. In the play, the Zhou brothers and sisters were admitted to college after resuming the college entrance examination, Luo Shibin went south to become a free businessman, and Wu Qian bought out his working years and re-employed, these fragments of the common life of the people in the change of the world, so that the distant historical afterglow can be echoed in the fresh air of the times, and the historical experience of the younger generation from paper is activated.
