According to the public resume, Li Luming was born in 1968, a native of Zibo, Shandong (Huantai County), a professor, and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. From entering Tsinghua University in 1983 with the college entrance examination, to graduating with a doctorate in 1996, and now serving as the president. In 2011, he became the Head of the Department of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and in 2016, he became the Executive Vice President of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics. In 2018, he served as the dean of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics and was promoted to the rank of director.
During this period, in September 2022, he served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Tsinghua University. The level of this position is at least the level of deputy department, and even the level of department is full, which is a major leap in the career. Having been promoted to the leadership of the school, in December 2022, he stepped down as dean of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
