Liang Xiaosheng's new work "Chinese Tao Li": "Communication" with the "Post-80s"

At the beginning of this year, Mao Dun Literature Prize winner Liang Xiaosheng's work "Human World" was adapted into a TV series of the same name and became a hit. Not long ago, Liang Xiaosheng launched a new realist novel "Chinese Tao Li", reflecting the wandering and perseverance of the "post-80s" college student group at the time of the change of the times.

Recently, Liang Xiaosheng introduced the story behind the creation at the media meeting held by the Writers Publishing House.

Liang Xiaosheng's new work "Chinese Tao Li": "Communication" with the "Post-80s"

In "Chinese Tao Li", Liang Xiaosheng tells the story of the university life and employment of Chinese students Li Xiaodong and Xu Ran based on what he has seen and heard in the process of teaching at the university, and expresses his thinking on the trade-offs made by contemporary young people when ideals and reality are in conflict.

Liang Xiaosheng said that as a teacher, he has taught a lot of "post-80s", his children are also "post-80s", writing something for "post-80s" has always been his own thoughts, "want to leave a little record for his teaching career". He also said that after writing "The World of Man", he wanted to write a less heavy work.

Liang Xiaosheng, who is over seventy years old, admits that writing about the younger generation is a challenge, "The first thing is the language, and the current language has changed too much." At the same time, there is a generation gap with young people, but think that "although you are on the other side of the ditch, I am on the side of the ditch, we can still communicate intimately."

Liang Xiaosheng said that the most inked in his pen is still "love", especially friendship. From the mutual support of the "six little gentlemen" in "The World of Man" to the selfless help of college students to Li Xiaodong in "Chinese Tao Li", it is an expression of friendship.

"Probably because I had such a beautiful friendship in my life, it was a knot in my heart." Liang Xiaosheng said.

"What is man pursuing in this life, and what is the most important?" Looking back at the more than 70 years of life that has passed, Liang Xiaosheng believes that in addition to the truth, goodness and beauty, everything else is a passing cloud.

"'Chinese Peach and Plum' is my penultimate novel, and there is another one that is written, and when that book is finished, no matter what the level, 'Liang Kee Noodle Shop' is about to close." Liang Xiaosheng vividly compared writing to opening a noodle shop, "After a lifetime, it is to this extent that people sometimes have to put it down and not be too stubborn." ”
