A few days ago, the "New City Express" implemented a new train schedule, making it more convenient and faster for passengers to travel. In order to better meet the travel needs of passengers along the line and promote the development of transportation in the Wuhan metropolitan area with Wuhan, Hubei and Huanghuang as the core, Wuhan Bureau Group Co., Ltd. and Hubei Railway Group have comprehensively optimized and adjusted the train schedule of the "New City Express".
After the implementation of the new map, Wuhan East Railway Station can handle up to 50 trains of the "New Town Express" in a single day, and the maximum number of "New Town Express" trains at Huangshi North, Daye North, Huanggang West, Ezhou and other stations will reach 19, 20, 22 and 19 respectively. Trains are more intensive, passengers travel more conveniently, the hub function of Wuhan East Railway Station continues to improve, and the convenient effect of high-speed rail transportation between the four cities will be further highlighted.
There are two new features of this map:
- Implement the "two maps" to meet the needs of passengers for commuting in the morning and evening to a greater extent. According to the midweek (Monday to Thursday) and weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) time slots, the average daily operation of 34 trains in the middle of the week, from 6:30-7:50 to 17:00-19:00 commuting peak hours, the average daily train operation is increased by 25% and 40% respectively compared with the original schedule, and the maximum number of trains on weekends and Sundays is 48 trains, and the number of trains running during the 8:00-19:00 period is increased by about 60%.
- The "New Town Express" train will be added from 19:00 to 22:00, and the new map will add 4 and 9 trains on the weekend and weekend respectively.
On January 24 this year, the city railway-Xincheng Express train, which does not need to buy tickets in advance and is as convenient as taking the subway, opened. As of April 26, the Xincheng Express has sent a total of 195,900 passengers, with an average of more than 5,000 passengers per day on weekends, forming a "30-minute rail transit circle" for citizens in Wuhan, Hubei and Huanghuang.
