Set off northwest along Shiquanhe Town, walk on National Highway 219 for about 1 hour, and you can see a small village, which is Dianjiao Village.
As a small village on the border between China and India, the presence of Dianjiao Village demonstrates the legitimacy of China's territory, 600 meters outside Dianjiao Village, where a large number of Indian troops are stationed, and now one-fifth of the village is also occupied by India.
How can we give full play to the role of Dianjiao Village in the border defense line?

1. Dianjiao Village, which guards the country
When we come to Dianjiao Village, we will find that the village is only 600 meters away from the Line of Actual Control (LAC) on the Indian border. On the houses of each of their families, the national flag is hung high, and under the blue sky of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the five-star red flag is particularly eye-catching, which also tells everyone that Dianjiao Village is Chinese, and the people of Dianjiao Village are Chinese.
The location of Dianjiao Village is very important, the three major mountain ranges in Tibet meet here, and the Shiquan River also flows into Kashmir after the village of Dianjiao, so it is also a very important road from the mainland to Kashmir. From the perspective of the overall strategic location, the strategic position of Dianjiao Village is very important.

India has always been eyeing the Indian region of the mainland, and not far from the village of Dianjiao is a bunker built by India, so Dianjiao Village is an important stronghold to prevent Indian invasion. Historically, Dianjiao Village has long been China's inherent territory, and after the collapse of the Tibetan Dynasty, the Guge Dynasty began to govern Tibet.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, India naturally tried to seize Dianjiao Village.
In 1951, just after the People's Liberation Army entered the Ali area, the village of Dianjiao was occupied by India, and in 1955, India intensified its efforts and encroached on the Barigas area, until the Chinese border team entered the village of Dianjiao, and India chose to withdraw. However, none of this discouraged the Indian occupation of Dianjiao, so there were fewer and fewer residents of Dianjiao at that time.

The area around Dianjiao Village is 1,950 square kilometers, and it is also part of the Ali region of the mainland, which is an inherent territory of the mainland. But after India's forcible invasion, up to one-fifth of as many as 450 square kilometers were illegally occupied by India, and we have never recognized it as Indian territory.
The Indians moved their de facto control to the vicinity of the village of Dianjiao, and what was even worse was that they built a military watchtower on the highest hill nearby, and on the mountainside there were many trails that circled each other. India threatens the lives of the people of Dianjiao Village at all times, this bunker is only 600 meters away from Dianjiao Village, and India has also built a small village in the area illegally occupied.
From these various behaviors of India, we can see India's arrogance. If it were not for Dianjiao Village, India would have entered the Ali area long ago, causing serious damage to National Highway 219.

2. Can't Dianjiao Village choose to leave?
Many people may have this question: Since Dianjiao Village will be threatened by India, why don't we evacuate the villagers, or directly evacuate the village, so as to ensure the safety of the people? First of all, Dianjiao Village is our inherent territory, and India first illegally invaded the village and then built a bunker, endangering the personal safety of the people of Dianjiao Village.
Within the territory of Dianjiao Village, it is China, not to say that you Indians invaded, we Chinese went first. If they really withdraw, this will give India a greater opportunity to make them more unscrupulous? Therefore, Dianjiao Village will not be evacuated, but will be built better and better with the support of the state.
In 1959, there were only 3 households left. In 1984, at the call of the state, the Karma Tsering family from Jiamu Village, Shiquan River, and four other villagers moved to Dianjiao Village. In 2013, there were 45 households with 163 people in Dianjiao Village, and in 2019, there were 171 people from 51 households.
The residents of Dianjiao Village did not choose to retreat, but firmly rooted in Dianjiao Village. The villagers of Dianjiao Village practice "grazing at the border", and only on the vast border line can there be border people. Therefore, the village of Dianjiao grazes in the high mountains, and also to ensure the territorial integrity of the country, they have a deeper responsibility.

The reason why the local villagers did not choose to leave was also to protect the territory of the state. We can see the ambition of these villagers. They use their lives to tell Indians that this is Chinese territory.
3. Modernization of Dianjiao Village
After Karma Tsering moved to Dianjiao Village, they built the first generation of houses in the village with stones. In 1990, the village government was officially established in Dianjiao Village, and the second-generation house invested and built by the state, although it was an earthen embryo house, already had the appearance of a house. In 2006, the state launched the housing project, and the third generation of houses appeared.

This is a brick and concrete structure of the house, which not only has a stronger bearing capacity, but also is stronger and can shelter from the wind and rain. Sonam Tsering, the first secretary of Dianjiao Village, joined the Communist Party and began to preside over the work of the village, leading the village to build flood control embankments, roads, drainage ditches, etc., to ensure that the herdsmen's crops thrive.
At that time, there was a shortage of water and electricity in Dianjiao Village, and the traffic was also very inconvenient, and the communication was also very congested. It wasn't until 2011 that Dianjiao Village implemented a village project without electricity, and every household used lighting. In 2012, the fourth-generation houses with an investment of 22 million yuan were completed, all of which are single-family villas, which are not only spacious and bright, but also fully equipped, with water and electricity.

In 2017, the fifth generation of the house was launched again, and in 2019 all the people moved into the latest house. Tashi Dunzhu, a local villager, said that the country will build such a good house for us, and I will lead the villagers to continue to struggle to protect the borders of the motherland. I think Dianjiao Village will definitely develop better and better, and stick to its responsibilities.
Today's Dianjiao Village is becoming more and more modern, and just 30 kilometers next to Dianjiao Village is our border police station, and they are guarding the safety of Ali area together with Dianjiao Village.
