"China's Peasant City" has been adapted into a 36-episode TV series "City Builder", and Yuan Keping, a famous screenwriter and editor-in-chief of the drama, said that after reading this book, the deepest impression was the author Zhu Xiaojun's love for Longgang, and his deep love for Chen Dingmo, Li Qitie and Chen Zhihui's "monkeys". As a screenwriter, he will adapt this drama with the greatest sincerity and the greatest love, and write this legend and greatness.

Chen Dingmo, one of the protagonists of this book and the first secretary of Longgang, sighed after reading it, and the book wrote out the arduous entrepreneurial spirit of several generations of Longgang, the perseverance of not being afraid of hardship and difficulty, and going all the way to the end, introducing the various tribulations and successes they experienced to the readers, and introducing their experience of "common prosperity" through their own labor to the world.
