——Comment on "A Cut of Idle Clouds to Give Flowing Years"

Liu Zhengjun's "A Cut of Idle Clouds To Endow the Flowing Year" came out, and the Red Face Carrier Book gave me Save, which was very gratifying!
Avid to read, developed a habit, the new book arrived, still read the preface and afterword (跋), and then carefully read the full text chapter by chapter. Only by reading this habit can we deeply understand the meaning of the work and experience the author's state of mind.

Zhengjun and I are both "old three" in high school, The Huaxian Township Party, and we are also friends in junior high school and college. We were all born in old China, grew up under the red flag, and had the same life situation. The years are long, it is hard to look back, we are more than rare. What is valuable is that Zhengjun graduated from a college student majoring in chemical education, and then engaged in educational administrative leadership work for decades, and after retirement, he can dance pen and ink, calm down, and complete the memoir "A Cut of Idle Clouds and Endowment Year" in less than three years. It is true that there is early accumulation and a good writing foundation, but to complete a work of about 400,000 words, how much courage, wisdom and patience is required, perseverance. In contrast, this book is one of the most influential works I've seen my fellow friends write memoirs.
As Mr. Du Wangcheng pointed out in his "preface" to the book: "This book is the author's reflection and summary of his own life, but also his own generation; it is the author's explanation to himself and his contemporaries; it is also the author's instructions and explanations to relatives and friends, to his family, and to the next generation. "Reading the text association, I feel a lot, only talk about a few rough views and communicate with everyone."
1. Look back at your own footprints and follow your own memories
The book is designed from the structure, the words and meanings of the titles and chapters are profound, the whole book is rich in information, the content is detailed, the style is simple, and there are distinct regional and local characteristics. The book consists of nine chapters, sixty sub-headings, as well as six appendices and three pieces, as well as long-preserved illustrated photos, a thick book contains family, friendship and true feelings, reflecting the author's recollection, thinking and emotional sublimation of life. The years are not worthy of the years, and they are better than the years. In my opinion, this is a good book with cultural characteristics and collectible value, and it is necessary to read it.
The book is affectionate and immersive. The reminiscences of the first and second chapters of the book are true portrayals of childhood life, such as "childlike fun", which describes the rolling of iron rings on the way out of school, the storytelling by the firewood pile, the paper boat in the creek, the reading of nursery rhymes to catch the house (small stones) and the stories of cutting grass and herding sheep vegetables and picking vegetables and checking bones, all of which are the happy childhood memories of our generation, which is endlessly evocative. Life needs Yang Fan, the school gas station. In the second chapter, "Learning the Sea Hook sinks", the author actually spent 15 subsections to describe his academic career, from primary school to middle school, from middle school to university, the people and things he encountered, bit by bit, touching. Among them, the accounts of the two sections of "1960: The Year of Gua Cai Dai" and "The Silhouette of the Teachers of Guapo Middle School" are even more imaginary, and it is difficult to calm down. Because Zhengjun entered Huaxian Guapo Middle School in September 1960, I entered in September 1961, he was 60 grades, I was 61 grades, one level higher than me. A year later, Zhengjun transferred to Chishui Middle School in Weinan County. During my school years at Guapo Middle School, I faced three years of natural disasters, and everyone's life was very difficult. The years of mentioning "melon vegetable generation" are hard to look back on. The three words "melon vegetable generation" are indelible memories of life forever. Suffering is an asset. As the author wrote in the book: People say that "the boat crosses the water without a trace", but the poignant memory of the years and months of "Gua Cai Dai" is forever difficult to extinguish. So whenever I am impetuous or confused, as long as I think of the suffering of that year, I will harvest infinite sweetness.

College is the dream of young people. Riding on the east wind of reform and opening up, the college entrance examination was resumed in 1978, and we had the opportunity to enter the university - Weinan Normal College. Zhengjun studied chemistry education, I studied mathematics education, and graduated two years later. Now that 44 years have passed, looking back on the days of university study, I am overwhelmed with emotion. As the author wrote in the fifth chapter of the book, "The College Age", we write about our common voice: "Our group of college students, with a traumatic youth, accompanied by stories of regret, came out of the special era and entered the university door. It was the university that transformed us who experienced the "Cultural Revolution" - not only became the witnesses and beneficiaries of reform and opening up, but also became the practitioners and promoters of reform and opening up; whether we later taught politics and business, or engaged in other industries, we all made contributions to the times in our posts, and there was no shortage of outstanding representatives. Therefore, every time we think of this, we all have a grateful heart, silently thank the university career, thank the reform and opening up - the wise decision to restore the college entrance examination, changed the history of the country and the nation, and also changed our destiny."
2. The beauty of remembrance and reflection, the fusion of emotion and reason
People have their own social experience and life feelings, so they have their own unique perspective on things. For example, in "Time of Enlightenment", the wonderful account of the section describing "The Struggle Meeting" is amazing: "The struggle assembly is fiercely going on, and the slogans are rising and falling. Inadvertently, I suddenly found that some of the classmates sitting in the crowd suddenly stirred up gently, turned their heads and ears, whispered, and some also bent down from time to time to stand up and pointed at a female classmate. I didn't understand what was going on, and like many of my classmates, I set my sights on that classmate. After taking a closer look, I found that the female classmate was actually my classmate. Only to see her sitting on a stool, bent like a shrimp, with her head tied with a red head rope deeply low, low and about to cross the table; half of her ears buried in the slightly messy hair, it seemed that she was still sobbing softly, when we were only eleven or twelve years old, such a small girl, looking at her father, was dragged on stage by a bunch of big men and forcibly pressed her head to accept criticism, that childish heart that did not understand the world, how much pressure should be endured! Until the end of the struggle, the female classmate did not look up." "More than 60 years later, this matter has been engraved in my heart and caused me to think a lot. Especially after engaging in education work, I have looked down countless times and pondered: Was there anything missing from our primary and secondary education work in those years? Isn't this the beauty of remembrance and reflection, the fusion of emotion and reason?

Another example is the third chapter, "The Career of the "Revolution"", in which the author uses three subsections to record some events in the cultural revolution of Weinan Ruiquan Middle School, which uses two subsections, "Criticism And Struggle Meeting" and "Confession of the Heart", to record the scene of the school's criticism conference during the Cultural Revolution: "I also spoke passionately. According to my still-kept notebook, the manuscript of my statement at that time consisted of 138 words, which seemed to be a collection of slogans. I distinctly remember that I had been reading it aloud in one fell swoop for about two minutes. But these two minutes of speech were enough to destroy all the friendship I had with Teacher Pan for many years, and while causing him great harm, I also buried a lifelong regret for myself, for which I had felt guilty for decades. The past is hard to look back on! Now, with this role, I turn the guilt that is sealed in my heart into words and pay tribute to Teacher Pan deeply"! After reading this paragraph, I don't know what to write? Isn't this the confession of the author's heart, the call of truth, goodness and beauty, the confession of noble emotions?
3. Character and works should be blended together
The ancients often said: "Words are like their people" and "literature is like their people", which is used to illustrate the natural connection between people's character and works. Looking at the character from the works, from the character to the morality, these interlocking things really give us some enlightenment: the relationship between the character and the work is "positively correlated". And the normal character can always lead to works full of affection.
The fourth chapter of the book, "Years of Returning home", chapter 6 "Tidbits of Politics", chapter 7 "Golden Autumn Season", chapter 8 "Family Affection Like the Sea", Chapter 9 "Manuscript Collection" and other sections, detailed descriptions of the author's "nursery rhyme impression" to "unforgettable teacher", from the bitterness and joy of university life to the 26 years of work from teaching and politics, from "family affection like the sea" to "nostalgia with feelings", all reflect that the author is a hard-working, hard-working young man, a passionate young man who loves work and is extremely responsible for his work. He is a person who knows how to be grateful, willing to help others, and adheres to principles and acts impartially.

One point of hard work, one harvest. When the book was published, it was favored by leaders, colleagues, family and friends. Hao Qingnian, former director of the Huaxian Township Party and weinan Educational Science Research Institute, commented on the book: "Good people have good books." The topic of his post-reading feeling is so well chosen, the author agrees.
I have also read this book several times and know that the author's intentions are extreme. The author is a man who strives for perfection. Of course, the more this is the case, it is inevitable that it is difficult to give up in terms of material trade-offs, and some articles are inevitably a little cumbersome in content. As a masterpiece of his own old past, there is no doubt about the value of learning to read and collect commemorative things.
Writing here, I can't help but write out such a passage from the author's "self-prologue": "Si Shi Si Jing, I, looking back at my own footprints, following my own memories, chewing my own years, exploring my own heart path, releasing my emotions, telling my own stories, the buildings sealed in my heart are very nostalgic for the past, brewing a pot of mellow wine, with my hands dedicated to everyone to taste, I hope to leave a thick fragrance for my friends, and I hope to leave some real enlightenment for my family." - "If so, I am heartbroken."

The author precipitates the cultivation of cultural heritage between the lines of the words and the charm of the still water, and after reading it and then re-reading it, there is still a noble power of truth, goodness and beauty, and a modern emotional rationality that moves us.
