"G Fat Count 3" is a very well-known meme in the player community, Valve's many game series are only produced in the 2nd generation, and even if there are new works, they are not named after serial number 3, including the classic puzzle game "Portal" series.
On this point, Erik Wolpaw, the screenwriter of Portal who participated in the development of the series, has something to say. He said particularly bluntly during his participation in the podcast "Kiwi Talkz":
We're going to have to start doing Portal 3. This is what I give... Information to anyone.
*Wolpaw has co-written the writers of "Italian Aviator", "The Road to Survival", "Half-Life Alex", and "Half-Life 2 Chapter 1/2", "Portal 1/2", "Holy Relic", and "Aperture Technology Part-time Work".

He went on to add that he wasn't young anymore and that the development team had really reached a point in time — frantically wondering if they were too old to develop Portal 3: "We should hurry up and do it."
However, Wolpaw admits that he can't decide this matter, he wants to do it but it will certainly not be easy to make a new Portal game. He knew Valve had more than 300 employees, but he didn't know how many of them were from the development department and how much was from the commercial department.
Everyone at Valve is working all the time, but not always with the final result, which may be published in a few years, or it may become some other form of existence. To make Portal 3, it is more difficult to get some employees to stop their work and participate in the project of Portal 3.
Finally Wolpaw shouts to "G Fat" Gabe, "Maybe [Portal 3] won't make as much money as CS:GO." But it's important to admit that it doesn't necessarily take all games to make as much money as CS:GO. Gabe, if you're listening to this passage, you know the truth."
