According to GameRent, Steam Deck currently supports twice as many games as it did a month ago, with a total of 2,000 games available.
Considering that Valve is still unable to meet the huge number of games that the PC version of handheld games can adapt to, Steam Deck has achieved great success compared to the very small number of games supported when it was first released, and the number of Steam games available on the device has doubled since last month.
Last month, steam Deck had over 1,000 verified playable games. Steam Deck-validated Steam games mean that these games have been thoroughly game-tested and are fully compatible with the device, however, playable games should be able to run on Steam handhelds without any issues, but as more game testing passes, some compatibility issues may also arise. In early March, steam deck library had 559 verified games and 498 playable games, and valve has made significant progress since then.
Steam Deck players now have over 2,000 games available for them to play, of which 1,000 are verified and 1,000 are playable. The additional 1,000 games tested on Steam Deck are not currently supported, meaning these games will not be able to run on Steam Deck.
The Witcher 3 is one of the newest games to join the Steam platform. This is an incredible feat, as many high-end gaming desktops were unable to run the game when it was released in 2015 because it was so demanding on images. True, the game is already available on the old NS, but it only offers a 540p version in handheld mode, while the Steam Deck is capable of running The Witcher 3 in 800p super preset mode.
In addition, Valve is rumored to be determined to bring the number of supported games on Steam Deck to more than 100,000.
