Language plays an important role in our lives, it is a bridge between us humans, it helps us exchange ideas, express feelings, and it is also an important tool for us to think. Whatever the cause of speech and language development disorders, early diagnosis and early intervention are required, and if not treated early, it may cause lifelong regrets in children. Teacher Wang Dan, the leader of the speech therapy team of the Department of Child Rehabilitation, will share with you how to cultivate children's language expression in a family environment.

1

Talk to your child more

The basis of a child's learning of language is imitation. Therefore, parents should talk to their children more, so that children are familiar with the language first, so that they can maintain a high degree of sensitivity to language, which is the first step to exercise children's oral expression ability.

2

Let your child have something to say

Let the child learn to speak, it is necessary to mobilize the enthusiasm of the child, so that the child feels that there is something to say. Try to find topics that the child is interested in and discuss with the child, and do not leave the child's cognitive range before the child can "say" it.

3

Let the child observe and discuss more

Observing more things can make children broaden their horizons, increase their knowledge, and speak with content. When children observe, guide them to see the object clearly, and at the same time give guidance with language.

4

Let the child fully express his wishes

When the child proposes an understanding of a thing, regardless of whether the child's idea is correct or not, parents should not erase the child's enthusiasm, it is important to let the child "say it" and do not care whether he is "right or wrong".

05

Let the child talk more and practice more

Language is developed in the process of practice, and to cultivate children's oral skills, they must be allowed to speak more and practice more. The practice mentioned here means that children have more opportunities to tell their own observations, including repeating the stories they have heard, telling the content of books, making up stories, and talking to others in daily life. Children should be allowed to creatively organize language based on their own knowledge, vocabulary and grammar.

To protect the mother tongue, the most important thing is to let today's children learn our mother tongue, and the child's oral expression ability needs to be carefully cultivated by parents, and the child has a good oral expression ability, and will be handy in the process of social interaction.
