Cultural people really don't use knives to kill people.
In the second year of Emperor Yuanfeng of the Song Dynasty, Su Shi was transferred from Xuzhou to Huzhou. After taking office, Su Shi followed the custom and expressed his gratitude to the emperor.
This kind of watch is a depreciation and a blow, degrading oneself for decades and having no merit to the imperial court, and blowing the emperor's holy grace. Written sincerely, it may impress the emperor and give a grace of reconstruction. Su Shi was well-written and flattered Song Shenzong when he wrote: "Your Majesty knows that his stupidity is inappropriate, and it is difficult to accompany the new jin; he can detect that his old age is not in trouble, or he can shepherd and raise small people." ”
This means that the emperor knows that I am stupid and cannot keep up with the times, that it is difficult to get along with young people, that I cannot keep up with the latest ideas of the imperial court, and that I know that I am old and duty-bound, and that I may be able to govern the people in small places well.
It was a very decent remark. Song Shenzong also felt that Su Shi had a good attitude of admitting mistakes.
However, the inspector Yushi He Zhengchen cut the words, found flaws in the words "new advance" and "sheng", and gave Su Shi a political hat of attacking the law and opposing the emperor.
How could a piece of paper letter kill the famous Su Xueshi? This gang of Yushitai went around searching for Su Shi's other crimes, and one named Shu Qi, who spent four months of intensive reading, searched out several poems of Su Shi from the "Yuanfeng Continued Tim Su Zizhan Scholar Qiantang Collection", saying Su Shi:
"As for those who harbor evil intentions, resent them, and blaspheme and insult, and those who have no reinstatement of their subjects, they have not been like Shiya. His Majesty Gai sent money (Qingmiao money at that time) to the poor people in his own industry, so he said' to 'win the children's voice is good, and one year and a half strong in the city'; His Majesty Ming Fa is a class test county official, then he is known as 'reading ten thousand scrolls without reading the law, to Jun Yao Shun knows no skill'; His Majesty XingShui Conservancy, he knows 'If the East Sea knows the idea, it should be taught to rebuke the halogen (saline land) to become a mulberry field'; His Majesty is forbidden to salt, then 'Is it better to smell Shao and forget the taste, and to eat salt in March without salt'; other touching things are things, and what should be said should be said, and all of them are mainly slanderous. ”
If you think that the ancient text is troublesome, you can skip it, in fact, the gist is that this person found the New Deal and Su Shi's poems, and singled out one-to-one correspondence, proving that Su Shi was always ridiculing Emperor Shenzong.
At the same time, Dr. Li Yizhi of Guozi and Li Ding of Yushizhong also came, counting Su Shi's crimes and claiming that he must be beheaded for his rudeness to the imperial court.
They listed a bunch of false accusations, and they wanted to kill Su Shi!
The emperor sent someone to interrogate him, and all the friends thought that they were giving him a sin. Frightened, Su Shi's official clothes did not dare to wear, and he lay on the ground begging for a chance to say goodbye to his family.
On the way back to Beijing, in order to avoid Su Shi implicating other friends and family members, the family burned his life poem book. The best articles of the Great Song Dynasty were burned here.
In the capital prison, Su Shi has been trembling and trembling, living in intimidation like a year. Later, Yu Shitai reported the trial of Su Shishi's case and compiled a so-called satirical list, which was almost all conservatives who changed the law, Sima Guang, Fan Zhen, Zhang Fangping, Wang Yi, Su Rui, Huang Tingjian, and twenty-nine other ministers and celebrities. Li Ding, Shu Qi, Wang Jue, and others wanted to kill Su Shi and then quickly. Fortunately, Emperor Shenzong still had a little benevolence, remembering that Taizu had already made a vow not to kill the ministers except for rebellion and treason.
Therefore, the decision to kill Su Shi has been unresolved.
But it is precisely this kind of torture of not killing that is the most heart-wrenching.
In December, Su Shi was demoted to deputy envoy of the Huangzhou regiment because of the case.
Because he was suspected of leaking secrets to Su Shi and often interacted with him, he did not hand over Su Shi's poems in time during the investigation, and because he was rude to the princess, he spoiled his concubine and suppressed his wife. All officials were stripped of their titles.
Wang Gong, disposed of by Yushi incidentally, was distributed to the northwest.
Su Shi's brother Su Rui, because he had asked the imperial court to pardon his brother, he was willing to pay back all official positions to atone for his brother's sins, and did not suffer any serious slander poems, but due to family ties, he was demoted and transferred to Gao'an and appointed as the liquor inspector of Junzhou.
Sima Guang and other ministers were punished together.
Although the Wutai poetry case did not kill Su Shi, it killed his heroic spirit of "looking northwest and shooting the wolf".
In Huangzhou, Su Shi wrote a heart-wrenching poem "Bu Operator":
The lack of moon hanging sparse tong, leaking the first quiet of people. Whoever sees the ghost alone, ethereal and lonely.
Startled but turned back, there is hatred and no one to save. Picking all the cold branches refuses to perch, and the lonely sandbar is cold.
This song, throughout, is a kind of helplessness, powerlessness and loneliness, and the bitterness after being degraded.
But the most tragic thing is that in the second half of his life, Su Shi began to be displaced all the time, experiencing the exile life of Huangzhou Danzhou Huizhou.
Although this process also recast Su Shi's literary style, he began his transformation from Su Xue to Dongpo Resident.
However, this inner trepidation and helplessness also became a thorn in Su Shi's trepidation for the rest of his life.
Once Su Shi wrote a poem:
The flowers fade red and green apricots are small, and when the swallows fly, the green water people are around. The willows on the branches blow little, and there is no grass at the end of the world!
Swing in the wall, walkers outside the wall, beautiful people in the wall laugh. Laughter fades away, but amorous is ruthlessly annoyed.
Su Shi was eager to make a career all his life, but his loyalty to the imperial court was interpreted as a bad heart.
The phrase "amorous but ruthlessly annoyed" reminds people of Qu Yuan's confession to the King of Chu. It also reveals the cruelty of his own ruthless attack.
It is said that after Wang Chaoyun sang this song, he cried, and died crying not long after.
Su Shi, who was afraid of grief and loneliness, wrote such a pair of elegies:
It is not appropriate, only chaoyun can know me; playing the ancient tune alone, every time it rains, I will think of Qingqing.
Every time I read Su Shi's poems, I feel sad in my heart. That spirited Su Shi was actually dead in the second year of Emperor Yuanfeng of Song Shenzong, and was silently killed by the swords of the imperial historians.
The subject asked how terrible culture is, and I think maybe it is terrible, they have ten thousand ways to make people disappear. Terrible is terrible, they will be able to find something that looks bright, very legitimate, very well-reasoned, so that you can not turn over.
By the way, the starting point for using poetry as evidence of Daxing Texing was not the Ming and Qing Dynasty literary prisons, but precisely in the Song Dynasty, Fan Zhongyan, su Shi, these were all severely punished for writing poetry.
